It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 32
1 Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
2 Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.
3 When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night
your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.
6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
will not reach them.
7 You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
9 Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the Lord’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts in him.
11 Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!
Prayers for my husband. He’s been ill, has been off work this week using sick leave, which he has a lot of, but they’re yanking him around, telling him he can’t use any more sick leave at this time unless he submits to testing and gets the “correct” results.
He is livid and just went to work to get the test, yelling as he left here that he might not have a job anymore by the time he comes back home. He has instructed me to start looking for other health insurance options.
Please pray for him in his frustration, and wisdom for me as I search for options. Thank you.

Carol, a tremendous encouragement and smart widow in my Bible study turns 88 tomorrow.
Yesterday in the Bible study, we were talking about the need to share your stories whether by writing them down or speaking them into your phone.
“I need to do that,” Carol said. “I don’t know if I’ll be here 10 years from now.”
Either last night or this morning, she fell in her beautiful home and broke her hip and pelvis.
She’s in the hospital.
Starting to feel a bit overwhelmed the last several days by such hard situations people I love find themselves in. So much to pray about.
Thanks.

I asked for prayer for friend’s husband who was in the hospital with pneumonia. He was sent home but needed to go back for testing. When he went back, they were not happy with his breathing and threatened to hospitalize him again. He opted for oxygen at home. Prayer that this clears up and he can get back to life. And that they will see God in this and turn to Him.

So much to pray about, indeed. And we have the Intercessor. Praying with you for our sister, Carol.

Test was negative, meaning he is required to return to work unless he sees a doctor who is willing to write a note exempting him from work. (No more than two consecutive days of sick time is granted without a doctor’s visit and note.) Husband decided to go to work sick instead of pay for an office visit and jump through the hoops associated with that.
I have found three options for insurance that I’m looking into further. Husband is consoling himself with thoughts of quitting without notice after he’s got all his (insurance and whatever) ducks in a row. Thank you for your past and continuing prayers.
Praying for Wesley, Carol, and Mumsee’s friend’s husband.

Something else even more troubling has come up. I’m off with a young friend to intervene.
Shaking. Please pray. Thanks.

Running a fever here so I guess I have to call in sick for the first time since 2006. Omicorn is rampant on our centre.

Many prayer needs today and on recent threads. Praying about all these situations.
I would like to request prayers for one of my piano families, in particular the older daughter, L, sister of my student H. L — high-school age — was hospitalized in December with an acute medical crisis for which she needed emergency surgery, IIRC. She was released a few days later.
L got readmitted to the hospital two days ago, experiencing another flare-up related to the same problem.
H, middle-school age, a young lady of few words and who tends to internalize a lot, is clearly worried about her sister. H has been very regular in attendance at piano lessons the years I’ve known her, but she was so concerned about her sister’s welfare last night, her mom called me two hours before the lesson to say H didn’t feel up to attending.
The Lord knows what’s going on with L, and how H is processing her sister’s hospitalization. I don’t know whether their family is Christian or not, but I told the mom yesterday that they would be in my thoughts and prayers, and she thanked me for that. I invite you to please join me, dear prayer warriors.
With gratitude,
Six

Prayers going up for the piano family. That is distressing for the family and all who care deeply for them. Some young people would look for a diversion from problems in a piano lesson. So sorry she feels so down. Hurting to watch from the sidelines when you want to comfort.♡🙏 Music is one of God’s healing gifts.
