Liberal U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer will retire in June, at the end of this term, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.
His retirement gives President Joe Biden an opening he has pledged to fill by naming the first Black woman to the high court, two sources told The Associated Press.
Breyer, 83, is the oldest member of the Supreme Court.
