““Certainly, he comes into the race in a very formidable position,” veteran Virginia political scholar Bob Holsworth said at the time. “He’s a popular former governor. He has tons of resources. And he loves to campaign. At the same time, the open question in this campaign is whether he is the person for the moment.”
The answer turned out to be no. On Tuesday, after a rolling election that lasted two full months, none of those assets was enough. McAuliffe lost a close election to Republican neophyte Ralph Youngkin. The tally, with 94% of the vote counted, is 50.7% to 48.6%. Meanwhile, in a potentially shocking upset in New Jersey, Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli holds a 1,200-vote edge over incumbent Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy with 97% of the total counted. If Ciattarelli holds on for victory, the result will defy the pre-election polling — and leave Democrats stunned and Republicans counting the days until the 2022 midterms.”

Fake news and their fake polls slammed into reality, that’s what changed….
😱 The definition of a dead heat in the New Jersey gubernatorial election rn. A recent Monmouth University poll showed incumbent Phil Murphy with an 11-point lead over Republican Jack Ciattarelli…what happened? #NJGov#ElectionDay2021pic.twitter.com/pu1YZOZ2Hb
And in what could be a total realignment of politics in NJ, Senate President Steve Sweeney is on the verge of losing his bid for re-election to a 7th term. He trails Republican Edward Durr, a truck driver who reported spending just $153, by 2,009 votes in district. https://t.co/TR3fRt590P
15/? Terry McAuliffe lied about critical race theory, about sending his kids to private school, about the motives of parents concerned about education. But the GOP is the problem. Keep running with this guys. Special RT appearance by Jennifer Rubin. pic.twitter.com/RzX4Jq0gDA
This doesn't repudiate Trump. Candidates don't need to run from Trump. If anything, this just confirms that Trump's instincts were correct: You have to figure out what the Middle Class actually wants, you have to figure out how Dems are attacking it, and then fight back.
Youngkin won because McAuliffe gave him a gift by saying parents have no say in their childrens' education. But he didn't fumble the gift, he ran with it.
It wasn't just CRT. It was school choice. It was restoring magnet schools and gifted programs.
The middle class wants their kids educated to prepare for life. They don't want schools to be social laboratories to explore gender issues. They don't want their kids taught they are oppressors or victims based only on skin color. They want MATH, LITERACY, and KNOWLEDGE taught.
Here's what the Elite cares about: Feeling sorry for poor minorities, encouraging them to be victims so they can be Elite Saviors, skimming money off the top of govt programs. Having their children graduate from Ivy League so they can be administrators of the Welfare State.
The Elite cares about Global Warming, to the point they recognize the need for making the middle class sacrifice comfort. The Elite recognize they don't number enough to make any real difference in C02 production if they sacrifice, so they don't have to. Just the middle class.
Note: The Elite cares about all sorts of issues, and is more than happy to tax the middle class to pay for their agenda, because they see no reason to spend their own money. SALT exemptions are also something the Elite cares about.

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) altered the definition of “vaccine” because of concern that its definition did not apply to COVID-19 vaccines, according to newly released internal emails.
The agency updated its definition on Sept. 1.
The definition was formerly, “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease.” It is now, “A preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.”
One CDC employee in August, shortly before the definition was changed, said that the definition was being used by “right-wing COVID-19 pandemic deniers … to argue that mRNA vaccines are not vaccines,” according to the newly published emails.
The Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines utilize messenger RNA technology. All three COVID-19 vaccines authorized for use in the United States have plummeted in effectiveness against infection in recent months after initially being promoted as protecting against infection and severe disease.”

A math trick that really works! It will only take you about ten seconds and, amazingly, it will reveal your all-time favorite movie.
DO NOT cheat. DO YOUR math, THEN compare the result to the list of movies at the bottom. You will be AMAZED at how scary true and accurate this test is:
1. Pick a number from 1-9.
2. Multiply that number by 3.
3. Add 3.
4. Multiply by 3 again.
5. Your total will be a two-digit number. Add the first and second digits together to find your favorite movie (of all time) in the list of 17 movies below:

"The operatives were instructed to reveal to any reporter who asked that they were there on behalf of the Lincoln Project. The problem for the actors: Nobody in the media approached them."https://t.co/8SORX6DjrC
Amazing—the Lincoln Project anti-Youngkin tiki torch incident was meant to be a transparent stunt. They assumed everyone would get that these weren't actual white supremacists. Then a bunch of VA Dems, including a McAuliffe campaign aide, took it seriously https://t.co/k8j578Rl40
The Lincoln Project seems to have actually intended that tiki torch bit as some kind of satire, but didn’t count on their own core audience of resistance libs being dumb enough to think it was real. https://t.co/2sPNfUNS00pic.twitter.com/QureMytpE8
This article is laughable, transparent propaganda that bears zero resemblance to what everyone witnessed in real time last week: namely, Lincoln Pedo Project clowns spending the day on social media posturing as if the hoax was real. https://t.co/yJlgF9UDHu
My immigrant family went from being strictly Democrat in 2016 to voting Republican in 2020 and 2021. The new left has consistently underestimated and downright ridiculed the core values and nuances of the Hispanic community. https://t.co/8OuawnSPhG
Bergen County, NJ reported 219,894 votes last night at midnight – 100% reporting, with 52% for @Jack4NJ. This morning Bergen County has 261,528 votes (40k more votes) and now shows @GovMurphy as the declared winner of that county. Share this. Make them report it. FULL AUDIT. pic.twitter.com/hfzfY5TnKj
“Double-Counting? What Is This Fugazi Vote-Counting Scheme We Have Going on in New Jersey?”
The early vote was double-counted in Hudson County. It has now been fixed, bringing Murphy's total down by 10,732 and Ciattarelli's by 2,842. Ciattarelli goes back up in the statewide tally:
It is extremely difficult for me to understand how states/localities can still proceed with multi-day election counts *and* not have high quality, transparent reporting on exactly what kind of votes have or have not been countedhttps://t.co/uQXdGLr6v8
