Prayer Requests 10-22-21

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 76

God is renowned in Judah;
    in Israel his name is great.
His tent is in Salem,
    his dwelling place in Zion.
There he broke the flashing arrows,
    the shields and the swords, the weapons of war.

You are radiant with light,
    more majestic than mountains rich with game.
The valiant lie plundered,
    they sleep their last sleep;
   not one of the warriors
    can lift his hands.
At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
    both horse and chariot lie still.

It is you alone who are to be feared.
    Who can stand before you when you are angry?
From heaven you pronounced judgment,
    and the land feared and was quiet—
when you, God, rose up to judge,
    to save all the afflicted of the land.
10 Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise,
    and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.

11 Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them;
    let all the neighboring lands
    bring gifts to the One to be feared.
12 He breaks the spirit of rulers;
    he is feared by the kings of the earth.

  1. Still trying to clear this bug from our systems. Husband will attempt to go down and get his infusion. Daughter will be away for the time he is gone. Youngest is still fighting the illness but son seems to have kicked it.

  2. Flooding! the headline screams. Can we never have peace? Don’t answer that!

    But, it ends the fire season.

    I would to take this space and thank you all for putting up with me and praying for my chaotic area of the country for the last FIVE YEARS!

    I know it becomes wearying, but last night I realized it was the first fall in so very long that we didn’t get overcome with smoke, flee in the night, follow fire news, sit in the dark and wonder about fire, make lists of our possessions, nor plot escape routes.

    The psychological and emotional damage to my community is real, but we got a break this year, and I’m so thankful to God for that mercy.

    That wasn’t true of all of California–and we’ll be driving through burned-up peaks soon and will get a closer view–but for us, God was merciful.

    Thank you for praying for us, for praying for me, and for being a place I could come to for prayer.

    Thank you.

  3. Seems so much of life feast or famine. Trusting our Lord through it all even when we have reached our last nerve. Thankful you have rain now. The emotional roller coasters does take a toll doesn’t it? Thankful you know the One in control 😊

    Continued prayer for the Mumsee family… 🙏🏻

  4. Please say a prayer for BG’s stepmother. She has stage 1 breast cancer. She sees the oncologist soon. She has been good to BG. BG’s father, on the other hand is making everyone want to strangle him. He’s not my problem, but if his wife gets tired of him, he will become BG’s problem one day
