Apinun all. I just came home to put away the milk I bought at the store. Now it is back to school to prepare for next week. My aide did not come today. She has quite a few boils which are making it painful for her to walk.
Good evening, Jo! Good morning to the rest of you Wanderers.
Jo, in my online Bible study we are in Exodus and have covered the plague of the boils this week. Interesting to see your comment about those boils. It sounds terrible. I hope she is better soon.
I checked my mail today and I had a letter from Idaho that was mailed in April. Very exciting. I also got two other letters mailed in May. It was funny to read what Mumsee was doing in the Spring and now summer is past.
Thanks for cheering me up and filling my new mailbox. We moved the post office and didn’t put in so many boxes so I have a new one, with a new number. But it really doesn’t matter because they know my name and who I am. We are so well known by all of these people.
Good Morning dear wanderers. That is a beautiful photo up there…I am trying to figure out what type of flower that butterfly has landed upon…..
We are experiencing a lovely change in our weather with rain and moisture in the area. The other day the Smokey haze was so thick that it appeared to be evening at 2 in the afternoon….very foreboding…thankful for the breath of fresh in the air!
Janice have you read The Eve Syndrome? It is a book that will be read in a ladies group from church and I just got my copy yesterday.
Good morning. Family returns today. I have enjoyed my retreat. However, my retreat also involves getting up in the middle of the night to put old Manny out for a few minutes and I did not wake up for it last night so I was mopping daughter’s floor this morning. I will also do her bedding.
Chas, I tested Peter L’s instructions, they worked easily. You do not even have to push shift to make it the plus sign. And pushing the minus sign makes it smaller.
Janice I believe our study leader said she had been given a copy at a funeral. She then read it and thought it would be a good study for the women at church. It does look interesting.
Also I saw the link you posted on FB and have signed up for the study in James through DTS…I am looking forward to that one! Thanks for posting it as the timing is simply providential…I have been wanting to do a study in James! 😊
I was sitting on the back deck, soaking up some September sun. The question came t me, “Why are you here?”
The answer came back, supreme clarity, “Because you can’t be someplace else.”
My logic professor would be proud.
I was walking up to the mail box, soaking up some September Vitamin D, when I was thanking God for such an incredible life and the people in it, including you all.
Mrs L and I took a walk on the exercise path at our regional hospital/medical campus. It was cloudy and cool, so we didn’t get much sun or vitamin D, but the exercise was good for us. Since I give cave tours most days, we don’t get out and walk together much. I was off today so we went.
Bluebelle, our jersey cow, had a calf yesterday.i milked her out today and got 8 gallons. My best producing goat has gone missing. We have heard coyetes close the past few nights. I walked the fenceline this morning, but did not see any definitive tracks. There are lots of places she Could hide in the big pasture.
I was out in the garden soaking up some September vitamin D. Our corn had more cobs ready to pick – we thought it was done. We also got more green beans (I think we’re over 60 pounds already and those plants have been producing for over a month!). Nine huge zucchini, a bunch of green peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers, and a bunch of small pumpkins. The watermelon continue to ripen as do the remainder of the spaghetti squash.
We’ve usually had frost by now but there’s still none in the forecast for two weeks!
What exciting days you are all having. I slept in until 9 today, can’t remember doing that in years.
I am having another open house today for my friends home across and up the street. Please pray that it would sell. It is time, but there are so many homes for sale.

I have not read that one, Nancyjill. I shall be looking it up now. Let me know what you think, please.

It sounds interesting, Nancyjill, from my quick look on Amazon. How did your group decide on that one?

That is a lot of milk. I do hope your goat shows up in one piece.

Love that cow’s name, Rkessler. It reminds me of ice cream which I have had only once this summer.
I do hope you find your goat, too. Do you make feta cheese?

I picked up dog poop in the backyard. Twice. I see there’s more now.
Dos perros.
