“Numerous aspects of what unfolded during the Capitol riot have been hotly debated in the months since it happened, but few have been as contentious and emotional as the debate over the officer-involved shooting death of Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt.
The 35-year-old Air Force veteran was shot and killed by Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd on January 6th after she tried to climb through a glass-paneled door after parts of it had been shattered by another rioter, identified as Zachary Jordan Alam.
Babbitt, who reportedly had been standing next to Alam, was shot.
In April, the Biden Department of Justice announced they had closed the investigation into the fatal shooting and would not be pursuing criminal charges against Byrd, citing “insufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution.”
Just last week, the Capitol Police confirmed a report from NBC News that they had exonerated Byrd, a 28-year veteran of the force. They stated in a press release that Byrd – who they did not name – “will not be facing internal discipline” because in their view Byrd’s conduct “was lawful and within Department policy, which says an officer may use deadly force only when the officer reasonably believes that action is in the defense of human life, including the officer’s own life, or in the defense of any person in immediate danger of serious physical injury.”
On the heels of the USCP exonerating Byrd, he did an interview with NBC News anchor Lester Holt, identifying himself publicly for the first time.
Instead of clearing things up, the interview only intensified the debate over his actions and whether they were justified. Here’s a key moment from their back and forth:”
Video shot by a person in the crowd showed two officers posted in front of the door. Heavily outnumbered, they eventually stepped aside.
Byrd said he had no knowledge that any officers were there. Because of the furniture stacked on his side of the door, he also couldn’t make out how many people were on the other side or whether they were carrying weapons.
“It was impossible for me to see what was on the other side,” he said.
But he did see the person now known to be Babbitt start coming through the broken glass.
“I could not fully see her hands or what was in the backpack or what the intentions are,” Byrd said. “But they had shown violence leading up to that point.”
Byrd, who says he has been in hiding since that day and has faced death threats, told Holt it was the first time he’d ever fired his weapon.”
——–
I have long expressed doubt over the Babbitt shooting, which directly contradicted standards on the use of lethal force by law enforcement. But what was breathtaking about Byrd’s interview was that he confirmed the worst suspicions about the shooting …https://t.co/66xjvIK0hh
…No other officers facing similar threats shot anyone in any other part of the Capitol, even those who were attacked by rioters armed with clubs or other objects. Under Byrd's interpretation, hundreds of rioters could have been gunned down on Jan. 6.
“Background:
Reports of waning vaccine-induced immunity against COVID-19 have begun to
surface. With that, the comparable long-term protection conferred by previous
infection with SARS-CoV-2 remains unclear.
Methods:
We conducted a retrospective observational study comparing three groups: (1)SARSCoV-2-naïve individuals who received a two-dose regimen of the BioNTech/Pfizer mRNA BNT162b2 vaccine, (2)previously infected individuals who have not been
vaccinated, and (3)previously infected and single dose vaccinated individuals. Three
multivariate logistic regression models were applied. In all models we evaluated four
outcomes: SARS-CoV-2 infection, symptomatic disease, COVID-19-related
hospitalization and death. The follow-up period of June 1 to August 14, 2021, when
the Delta variant was dominant in Israel.
Results:
SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees had a 13.06-fold (95% CI, 8.08 to 21.11) increased risk
for breakthrough infection with the Delta variant compared to those previously
infected, when the first event (infection or vaccination) occurred during January and February of 2021. The increased risk was significant (P<0.001) for symptomatic disease as well. When allowing the infection to occur at any time before vaccination (from March 2020 to February 2021), evidence of waning natural immunity was demonstrated, though SARS-CoV-2 naïve vaccinees had a 5.96-fold (95% CI, 4.85 to 7.33) increased risk for breakthrough infection and a 7.13-fold (95% CI, 5.51 to 9.21) increased risk for symptomatic disease. SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees were also at a greater risk for COVID-19-related-hospitalizations compared to those that were previously infected.
Conclusions:
This study demonstrated that natural immunity confers longer lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease and hospitalization caused by the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, compared to the BNT162b2 two-dose vaccine-induced immunity. Individuals who were both previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and given a single dose of the vaccine gained additional protection against the Delta variant."

“Earlier this week, Proud Boys leader Henry “Enrique” Tarrio was sentenced to jail after admitting to burning a Black Lives Matter banner that had been taken from the Asbury United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C. in December 2020.
Notably, Tarrio was neither accused nor charged with stealing the flag, or even of trespassing on church, but only of destroying the banner.
Video of the incident circulated on social media, and numerous media outlets reported on the incident soon after it occurred.”
“D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney for the District, Michael Sherwin, urging that the destruction of the banners be prosecuted as a hate crime.”
The FBI and the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department thereafter announced that they were investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
Tarrio publicly took credit for the flag burning almost immediately.”
———
On July 19, 2021, Tarrio pleaded guilty to burning the flag in violation of D.C. Code § 22-303, which is entitled “Malicious burning, destruction, or injury of another’s property.” That ordinance provides:
“Whoever maliciously injures or breaks or destroys, or attempts to injure or break or destroy, by fire or otherwise, any public or private property, whether real or personal, not his or her own, of the value of [less than $1000] … shall be fined not more than [$1,000] or imprisoned for not more than 180 days, or both.”
On August 23, D.C. Superior Court Senior Judge Harold Cushenberry sentenced Tarrio to 90 days’ incarceration, sixty days of which were suspended. Tarrio must report to the D.C. jail by September 6.
Tarrio admitted to breaking the law by destroying property that did not belong to him, and for that, he certainly should be held accountable. During the summer of 2020, in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, BLM and antifa agitators rioted and regularly damaged private and public property – including burning American flags – during protests throughout the country. Many of those provocateurs were arrested and prosecuted for their crimes, and their sentences can be compared to Tarrio’s:
Sydney Foster: was charged with threatening a police officer and criminal damage to property after smashing windows at a bookstore and a post office during a BLM protest in Madison, Wisconsin. Foster was sentenced to two years of probation. No jail time.
James Brisendine: pleaded guilty to arson for lighting a dumpster on fire during a BLM protest in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was sentenced to counseling. No jail time.
Andrew Magoon: pleaded nolo contendere to disorderly conduct where, as part of a group who were throwing bottles at officers, emerged armed with a baseball bat and continuing to enter the roadway after being ordered not to do so. He was sentenced to a fine (which was suspended 12 months). No jail time.
Kayla Sharp: pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for “engaging in a riot” as part of a group throwing glass bottles at police officers. She was sentenced to 45 days, all suspended, and a $248 fine. No jail time.
Or, contemplate the sentence of Brian Jordan Bartels, a 21 year-old member of antifa who instigated a riot in Pittsburgh after the May 25, 2020 death of George Floyd.
According to Fox News, Bartels smashed the windows out of a marked Pittsburgh police vehicle and then spray-painted a letter A on it during a May 30 protest.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who is friendly with President Joe Biden, told CBS this weekend that he believes POTUS should be removed from office, slamming the president for the botched withdrawal in Afghanistan that “set the conditions for another 9/11.”
“I think it’s dereliction of duty to leave hundreds of Americans behind enemy lines, turn them into hostages, to abandon thousands of Afghans who fought honorably along our side, to create conditions for another 9/11 that are now through the roof,” the senator told “Face the Nation” host Ed O’Keefe, according to The Guardian.
A study in Israel found natural immunity to be 13 to 27 times stronger than the experimental injections.
Acknowledge the science. Government officials should have been the first ones to mention this obvious point here, but it tells you all you need to know about what mask mandates and these ‘vaccines’ are all about.
Look for Gottlieb to be censored, cancelled, and possibly become ‘suicidal’.
“Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, who is a Pfizer board member, noted that “natural immunity” gained from a prior COVID-19 infection needs to be included in discussions about policies and mandates.
“The balance of the evidence demonstrates that natural immunity confers a durable protection,” Gottlieb said during a Monday morning TV interview, referring to a landmark new preprint Israeli study that found prior COVID-19 infection confers much more protection against the virus than any vaccine. “It’s fair to conclude that,” he said.
Although Gottlieb said he would “be careful” about concluding whether natural immunity provides better protection against transmitting the virus, officials “should start assimilating that into our policy discussions.”
“Natural infection confers robust and durable immunity,” he said, citing the Israeli study and others. However, whether natural immunity or vaccines are better than one another “isn’t that material” when it comes to policy discussions, Gottlieb added.
Last week, researchers from Maccabi Healthcare and Tel Aviv University said that individuals who recovered from COVID-19 had superior protection against the Delta variant of the CCP virus than those who received the Pfizer mRNA vaccine, the most commonly used shot in Israel.
“This analysis demonstrated that natural immunity affords longer-lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease, and hospitalization due to the Delta variant,” the study concluded, noting their findings came from the “largest real-world observational study” in the world. Their study, which hasn’t yet been peer-reviewed, noted outcomes for a period between June 1 and Aug. 14 of this year.
When researchers compared cases of prior infection that occurred between March 2020 and February 2021 with vaccinations between January and February 2021, they found that the vaccinated cohort was 5.96 times more likely to contract the Delta variant and 7.13 times more at risk for symptomatic disease compared to those previously infected.
The results suggest that natural immunity gained from having survived a previous infection of COVID-19 may wane over time against the Delta variant, the authors wrote.
Those vaccinated were at a greater risk of COVID-19-related hospitalizations compared to those who were previously infected, the authors noted. They said that being 60 years of age or older increased the risk of infection and hospitalization.”
Yes, the Taliban are terrorists, and this is an act of terror. They're terrorizing the Kabul populace to let them know what happens to U.S. collaborators and anyone who dares defy their rule. They learned it from Scarface.
“Ten members of one family — including seven children — are dead after a US drone strike targeting a vehicle in a residential neighborhood of Kabul, a relative of the dead told CNN.
The US carried out what it called a defensive airstrike in Kabul, targeting a suspected ISIS-K suicide bomber who posed an “imminent” threat to the airport, US Central Command said Sunday.
The Pentagon has said the strike resulted in secondary explosions, and those explosions may have been what killed the civilians.
The youngest victims of Sunday’s airstrike were two 2-year-old girls, according to family members.
Relatives found the remains of one of the girls, Malika, in the rubble near their home on Monday. A family member told CNN that it was unclear whether Malika had been inside the vehicle or in the compound when the strike hit.
They were “an ordinary family,” a brother of the one of those killed said. “We are not ISIS or Daesh and this was a family home — where my brothers lived with their families.”
Relatives of the victims spent Monday at a Kabul hospital identifying remains and separating them into coffins. The 2-year-old girls, Malika and Sumaya, were among the names marked on the coffins.
At a funeral held later in the day, family members shouted “Death to America.”

Those vaccinated were at a greater risk of COVID-19-related hospitalizations compared to those who were previously infected, the authors noted. They said that being 60 years of age or older increased the risk of infection and hospitalization.”

Oh wait…. no, that never happened.

“Ten family members, including children, dead after US strike in Kabul”

Perhaps another strongly worded letter is in order, or maybe bomb some innocent family’s home again in retaliation, right?
