Morning, Chas. Did I mention that I got my second shipment of cargo from Cairns, Australia? Now I have a new wireless mouse. It is such a help. I also got some steel cut oats for my breakfast. It does rather up the price when you are paying freight, but they make such a good breakfast.
Good morning all.We had quite a light show with constant lightening last night. We are grateful for the rain and that the hail in other places missed us. The air is always so fresh after a storm.
RK. When we lived in Hendersonville, we lived in a place where the winter sun would come up behind a mountain.
Elvera used to like to sit and watch the sunrise. Hard to explain in words. But it was an interesting sight.
Watching the sun set was a favorite pastime growing up. We’d drive to pass in the mountains west of Tucson and watch the sun go down. A lot of people were there at a picnic area. A radio station signed off at sunset and would play “Also sprach Zarathustra”. Ah, the memories.
Now-a-days I’m up early enough for the sunrise, but at our house in Missouri there aren’t any mountains, but the sunrises and sunsets are still pretty many days.
Yesterday, Mrs L and I drove 2+ hours to Organpipe Cactus National Monument. We went on a hike in the foothills of to see a natural arch. It was 100 degrees when we started out, but because of the very low humidity it didn’t seem that hot. There was a breeze also, so it was comfortably warm.
I have never lived any place where the sun set somewhere besides someone’s house.
But in Hendersonville, there was a spectacular sunrise over a mountain.
I can’t see the full sunset from my bathroom window, but I get some good views of near sunset. Wesley’s bedroom has the same view, and I remember that sometimes he would call to me so I could see the sunset sky.
I just finished mowing most of the yard. I still have a small section left beside the neighbor’s yard where guys are still working. I complimented one of the guys on his painting of the concrete blocks beneath the siding which is maybe fifteen feet from our carport where I was getting the lawnmower set up. They are spiffing up the house. One wonders . . .
Sunsets over water are pretty also, as you get the reflection. I’ve seen the sunset over the Pacific and the Mediterranean, as well as a few lakes. Beautiful.

The sun just came up/went down.
It was light/ then it was dark
just like that.
Good Morning Everyone. I am working on a listing. I sold them the house in 2012. It’s going to be a somewhat difficult one as only he was on the mortgage and tax records. She is now the “designated survivor” and is also in forbearance. I needed to get it on the market back in May, but there was some work to be done. Luckily she has a friend who flips houses and the friend stepped in and helped her.
I am showing a $30K lot today and the woman says she wants to make an offer. It won’t be the largest commission, but I

There is no moisture to create a”dawn/sunset” in Arabia. Once it’s dark, next the sun is up.

We’ve always been told our spectacular sunrises and sunsets are due to smog.
Best views, of course, are over the port or out on the south-facing cliffs. You can get great shots as the sun begins to sink into the ocean with silhouettes of palm trees in the foreground.

Killer-long port meeting this morning. Now a long story to write.
We’re about to go tour a Titan Missile museum in an actual silo. It’s underground, so it’s like going to visit a man-made cave. All right by you, mumsee?
And I bought a plush-toy bat today. Maybe I’ll take it along for the tour.

realizing that if I am going to have a dinner tonight, I need to cut up all of the vegetables now. I come home from school too tired to do all of that work. Yesterday I was at school by 8:30 to set up the computer lab for students and then oversaw the lab until 11, at which time I had to close down everything and close windows and drapes etc.
Then I made something for the staff and worked in my classroom for an hour. I am battling anger towards the other teacher who left things in such a mess. Think nothing put away for most of the year. I found things from term 2, last fall, still out and needing to be put away. My aide cleans cut does not put away teaching stuff. aaarrrggghhhh.
Then two hours of tutoring. then my friend later needed a ride to school and back as she had given me her keys.
Finally got the story turned in, had to follow up with a couple port officials after the meeting just to make sure I was getting it all correctly.
Now I need to do a copy block to run with photos we’ll be taking Saturday of the opening of the local aquarium which, like most everything else here, has been closed for 15 months.
I called the tree people to confirm they’ll be here sometime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. tomorrow, no clue how long it’ll all take; but I’ll need to get the car moved out of the driveway early in the morning as my neighbors have a 9:45 a.m. appointment at the stroke rehab center. The good news is I did get tomorrow off (didn’t think it was OK’d, but I guess it was) — which will be a big help in juggling tree guys and all that noise (plus getting ready for the mattress delivery on Saturday).
Trying something, I just ordered a hamburger from the store kai bar with no onions. They only make them with sauteed onions, so we will see.
They have moved into a larger kitchen in the Teen Centre so can do more cooking.
