  1. This is just more un-American bull@#$% from woke leftist idiots.

“Chauvin Defense Forensic Expert Targeted By Maryland A.G. and Colleagues

Dr. David Fowler was an effective witness for Chauvin, and now Maryland will review his work as the state’s Chief Medical Examiner looking for errors, as an open letter signed by fornensic colleagues call for his medical license to be investigated.”

“Derek Chauvin’s use-of-force expert, Barry Brodd, was targeted after his testimony. His former home, which the perps apparently assumed was still his, was Vandalized and Smeared With Pig’s Blood.

A different type of targeting now is directed at Chauvin’s forensic expert, Dr. David Fowler. You may recall that Fowler was a very effective witness, testifying that George Floyd had a sudden cardiac arrythmia due to atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, during his restraint by the police.

Andrew Branca covered the testimony, Chauvin Trial Day 13 Wrap-Up: Solid Day for Defense With Forensic Expert Witness:

Today saw the testimony of only one witness, but it was a witness of great importance to the defense, and therefore one whose testimony the state would perceive as important to damage.

This was the defense medical expert witness Dr. David Fowler, a retired forensic pathologist.

To not bury the lead, Dr. Fowler did what the defense needed done today, and did it well. That’s not to say his performance was perfect—he took a few hits off Prosecutor Jerry Blackwell during cross-examination, and could have done better deflecting some of those attacks.

At the same time, however, Blackwell’s rather over the top cross-examination of Fowler was initially too aggressive for Judge Cahill’s liking, resulting in a rapid sidebar and a more restrained Blackwell moments later, and Blackwell’s resort to snark led him to overreach several times, providing opportunities for defense counter-attack that defense counsel Eric Nelson did not pass up.

So, overall, a good day for the defense today, when they very much needed one, especially after the weak performance of defense expert witness Barry Brodd yesterday.

Dr. Fowler now is being targetted professionally, in moves which I predict are intended to render him unable to be an expert witness ever again, and even a vindictive attempt to pull his medical license.

    The Baltimore Sun reports:
The Maryland’s Attorney General’s Office said Friday it believes there should be a review of “in custody” death reports produced by the state’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner during the tenure of Dr. David Fowler, nine days after Fowler testified that an ex-Minneapolis police officer was not responsible for the death of George Floyd in police custody.

The announcement came less than 24 hours after the attorney general’s office received a letter from the former medical examiner of Washington, D.C., Roger A. Mitchell, signed by 431 doctors from around the country, saying Fowler’s testimony and conclusions were so far outside the bounds of accepted forensic practice that all his previous work could come into question.

“Dr. Fowler’s stated opinion that George Floyd’s death during active police restraint should be certified with an ‘undetermined’ manner is outside the standard practice and conventions for investigating and certification of in-custody deaths. This stated opinion raises significant concerns for his previous practice and management,” the letter said.

Attorney General Brian Frosh’s office said Friday afternoon that it agreed for the need to review Fowler’s work, and said it had been in contact with Gov. Larry Hogan’s staff.

“We agree that it is appropriate for independent experts to review reports issued by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) regarding deaths in custody,” Raquel Coombs, a spokeswoman for Frosh, said in an statement to The Baltimore Sun. “We are already in conversations with the Governor’s Office about the need for such a review, and have offered to coordinate it.”

So they are going to pour over his career, ostensibly to serve the interests of justice, but reality as we all understand, as punishment for testifying on behalf of a hated defendant. And make no mistake, the letter from forensic colleagues is a prelude to professional retribution:”

    Leftists are scum.

  2. Traitor Kerry is still a traitor. He should be charged with treason and hung.

“Iranian foreign minister: Kerry informed us of hundreds of Israeli covert actions”

“Talk about burying the lede. The New York Times got information that a high-ranking official in the Obama administration tipped off Iran to Israel’s covert actions, and that news ended up in paragraph 21 … in a 26-paragraph story. A leaked audio recording of Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reveals that John Kerry revealed that information to Tehran, presumably during the negotiations for the deal with Iran over its nuclear-weapons development:

Former Secretary of State John Kerry informed him that Israel had attacked Iranian interests in Syria at least 200 times, to his astonishment, Mr. Zarif said.

The context for this is Zarif’s attempt to explain the grip that the Revolutionary Guards have on the government in Tehran. The “astonishment” comes from Zarif’s apparent ignorance of this fact while the Guards knew it all along, or at least that seems to be Zarif’s point. The reference to “at least 200 times” is written somewhat ambiguously too; it could mean that Kerry told them one time about 200 Israeli operations, or told Zarif on 200 separate occasions, but it’s almost certainly a reference to one discussion.

Let’s chalk that up to poor writing and editing. The decision to bury this lede speaks more to the leadership of the NYT. While no one would be surprised to hear that Israel carries out covert operations against Iran, why in the world would an American Secretary of State pass that information to a regime that leads “Death to America” protests in its streets? Isn’t this the real news in the US, especially with Kerry now joining another administration as its “climate change envoy”? At best, this shows that Kerry is enormously and irresponsibly indiscreet; at worst, he’s exposing American intelligence to an enemy in order to attack an ally. And frankly, it looks a lot more like the latter than the former, and a lot more like an actual crime by a high-ranking US government official.

And the NYT thinks the big story here is — and I quote from the lead paragraph — “Zarif said the Revolutionary Guards Corps call the shots, overruling many government decisions and ignoring advice”? Seriously?”

Just leftists scum protecting leftist scum. Move along….

  3. But…. but….

    Rules are only for peons…..

“Meet Jewell Jones, one of the youngest and newest members of the Michigan legislature. The Democrat is also the latest public figure to find out how well the “do you know who I am” strategy plays with police, especially when at twice the legal limit for a DUI. Jewell got arrested and charged with several felonies after a a few fellow motorists called 911, warning Jones would likely kill someone, before he drove his car into a ditch.

All of that came out well over a week ago, but the body-cam and dashboard footage emerged only yesterday. No word yet, however, on how Jones’ call to Gretchen Whitmer might have gone:”

“The video shows police tackle a combative Jones to the ground after he physically resisted arrest and threatened to call Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Jones can be heard reminding the officers that he had oversight of their budget as they attempt to put handcuffs on him.

“I don’t give a f— bro, when I call Gretchen [Whitemer] I’ll (sic) need y’all (sic) ID’s badge numbers everything,” Jones says in the footage.

“It’s not going to be good for you, I’m telling you. I run y’alls budget, bro,” he told a trooper.

When an officer asked Jones to present his driver’s license, the 26-year-old responded, “I can’t do that.”

Police initially arrested Jones, 26, on April 6, after his black Chevy Tahoe, bearing an “ELECTED” vanity plate, drifted erratically across multiple lanes before he pulled off onto the shoulder and rolled into a ditch, according to reports.

Classy. Ten days ago, the Detroit Free Press painted what now looks like a pretty accurate picture of Jones and his arrest, which includes the fact that he had a loaded and unsecured pistol in the car:

State Rep. Jewell Jones was so confrontational after driving his vehicle into a ditch on I-96 while allegedly drunk that state troopers used a Taser and pepper spray on him, a prosecutor said Friday.

Livingston County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Carolyn Henry said Jones, D-Inkster, drove so recklessly between Southfield and Fowlerville on April 6 that numerous other motorists called 911 to report his driving.

After Jones drove the vehicle into a ditch, his unidentified passenger required medical attention and Jones became confrontational with emergency medical technicians and police, producing badges instead of the photo identification police requested and attempting to show “his status of importance, as he put it,” said Henry, who did not specify what types of badges Jones allegedly displayed.

Jones had a semi-automatic .40-caliber Glock handgun in the cup holder of the vehicle, she said.

Jones had a blood alcohol content of at least 0.17%, according to the complaint. That is more than twice the 0.08% limit at which a person can be convicted of drunken driving.”
