Prayer Requests 4-5-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 53

The fool says in his heart,
    “There is no God.”
   They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
    there is no one who does good.

God looks down from heaven
    on all mankind
   to see if there are any who understand,
    any who seek God.
Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
    there is no one who does good,
    not even one.

Do all these evildoers know nothing?

   They devour my people as though eating bread;
    they never call on God.
But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
    where there was nothing to dread.
   God scattered the bones of those who attacked you;
    you put them to shame, for God despised them.

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
    When God restores his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

  1. I posted on the weekend prayer thread that my mother-in-law had a heart attack yesterday. She isn’t doing well, and the hospital has called a family meeting. Thank you for praying.

  2. Heavenly Father, I lift up Six Arrows MIL. You understand the severity of her condition and if she can recover. Please be with the family through this critical time. Help them to all pull together as a loving force no matter which way this turns out. If You choose to extend her life, I pray she will recover quickly. Thank You for caring and comforting them through this difficult time. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. Thank you for the prayers, all. I don’t have any updates, but I just saw the following request that Debra posted on the weekend prayer thread shortly ago. She’s been sick and probably meant to put it on the most recent prayer thread, so I’m copying/pasting it here:

    “Prayers would be appreciated for our immediate household. We have been sick all weekend. I don’t know if it’s flu or covid and I don’t have the energy to go get tested. Dad seem’s to have the lightest case, and his primary symptoms are uncharacteristic tiredness and a low fever which is now gone. He’s well isolated in his rooms, if he will stay there.

    “Husband was up half the night, waking me up every half hour or so to take my temperature. He’s terrified I will die before he does. It would have been annoying, but where else could a girl find a kind fellow willing to hold her stringy hair while she pukes into the toilet at 3am. :–) Extra prayers for husband, please, that his strength does not fail.”

  5. Heavenly Father, I lift up Debra’s family as they are afflicted with this illness. I pray it will be short-lived like a 48 hour virus. Please let it pass through like that illness that Six’s family had. I pray that if it happens to be more serious that You would make a way for proper diagnosis and treatment. I ask that there be no secondary infections related to this original virus. Please, Lord, protect them from any permanent complications. Also, I ask that no one else will get exposed to it and get it. Thank You for Your healing and comfort as people go through such agonizing times. In Jesu’ name I pray, Amen
