Prayer Requests 12-18-20

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Psalm 119:129-144

פ Pe

129 Your statutes are wonderful;
    therefore I obey them.
130 The unfolding of your words gives light;
    it gives understanding to the simple.
131 I open my mouth and pant,
    longing for your commands.
132 Turn to me and have mercy on me,
    as you always do to those who love your name.
133 Direct my footsteps according to your word;
    let no sin rule over me.
134 Redeem me from human oppression,
    that I may obey your precepts.
135 Make your face shine on your servant
    and teach me your decrees.
136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes,
    for your law is not obeyed.

צ Tsadhe

137 You are righteous, Lord,
    and your laws are right.
138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
    they are fully trustworthy.
139 My zeal wears me out,
    for my enemies ignore your words.
140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
    and your servant loves them.
141 Though I am lowly and despised,
    I do not forget your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is everlasting
    and your law is true.
143 Trouble and distress have come upon me,
    but your commands give me delight.
144 Your statutes are always righteous;
    give me understanding that I may live.

  1. Husband and little grandson arrived about midnight. Night went much better than expected though five hours may not be considered adequate sleep for one who is used to eight to nine hours. We are where we are. Youngest granddaughter who is actually older, was mad and yelling for her mommy for about an hour around eleven. She is used to cosleeping with mommy but goes down for me during days. I checked on her and comforted about every ten minutes until she went back to sleep. Other granddaughter gave a couple of yells during the night but did not wake up. So, off to a good start. Pray for us. Pray for strength to continue. Pray for wisdom on how to proceed. Pray for love and joy that only comes from God. And pray that these children will know they are loved and that will sink deeply into them and from Whom that love comes.

  2. I’m ahead of you and have been praying for physical and emotional strength for you; protection from 19; peace for the dad, for someone to take a close look at the mom (obviously in manic stage right now), and for the children to develop and give you joy. xoxox

  3. I’m praying, too, Mumsee, in tears.

    Roscuro – I prayed for you last night, and then when I awoke for a brief time in the early morning hours, you came to mind to pray for again, especially for peace in your heart and mind.

  4. Mumsee, I know one of these babies is the child of the daughter who lives with you, and the new arrival is the boy twin, right? Who is the third baby you have?

  5. Third baby is the twin sister. She has been here for two weeks. We thought they would be able to work with just one really easy child there but it turned out to not be so. Daughter is incredibly paranoid for him and believes he is safe with us. Though we have discussed his possible demise in our hands and she is okay with that, knowing we will have worked for his good, doing as we thought best in seeking care as needed. He has exceeded many of the life expectations already. But we hope to have him for many more years.

  6. I also prayed for Roscuro’s situation very early this morning. I had prayed for her during the meeting yesterday and was surprised by the outcome.

    Today I prayed for peace of mind, a hedge of protection around her emotionally, physically, and professionally. I also prayed her brother-in-law would find a job that could take care of his family.

    Sometimes it’s the outside pressures that need the most attention.

    Grieving, though, for all of these needs.

  7. Thank you Michelle, I did have peace of mind, and I had very pleasant encounters with my patients. My lungs on the other hand, were in turmoil. Two thirds of the way through they were in burning pain, and now they feel stiff and swollen. Management knows, union knows, coworkers know. I don’t know what is going to happen next.
