It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 95
1 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.
3 For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
Today, if only you would hear his voice,
8 “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,
as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness,
9 where your ancestors tested me;
they tried me, though they had seen what I did.
10 For forty years I was angry with that generation;
I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,
and they have not known my ways.’
11 So I declared on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’”

He followed her in. But could not accept a pull out as they have regulations. He got himself out.

And it’s not even noon (or 1 p.m.) yet, mumsee?
Prayers for Carol, spoke with her this morning briefly, she’s still nauseous and is having a “GI consult” today. Wish I could be there, but I told her to be sure they have my info as someone they can share with.
I texted her brother, he called her but her phone was off, and he said his work schedule might prevent him from calling again until Monday, which I don’t really understand. He said she’s told him she feels fine when they’ve talked over the past few weeks, but I think she tells me the truth — and I know just be her voice and demeanor that she’s not been feeling well at all.

Prayers for the nation, we seem only to be heading into a deeper division from what I am seeing and hearing. The left is descending on Georgia for that win-and-take-all looming battle.
A civil “cold” war indeed, one that I hope won’t turn hot at some point.
Mercy and wisdom for the church visible.

Did I mention that daughter (mom of the three) is working on the covid floor? The incredible stress of that, along with the concern of taking it home to the little guy, has got to be huge. She needs home to be a safe haven of rest, not conflict. Even self imposed.

Maybe some preemptive prayers for the minority voters in the urban areas of Georgia? A lot of hatred toward us. But we know Who it is that is really hated. We have been forewarned to expect such things.

Carol has been diagnosed with Colitis, so maybe that’ll help in treatment now.
She didn’t seem to want to talk (I spoke with the nurse beforehand).
I asked Carol what happened today. “I threw up.” Short and to the point, so OK. She said she didn’t see a doctor. I told her I’d call her tomorrow.
Pray that the meds they provide can help treat her many ailments and she’ll feel more like herself soon.

My other friend Shirley is hanging in there w/a 14-day rehab stay for COPD complications. But she said the new roomie in their 3-bed room keeps peeing on the floor.
But she said she’s OK, knows she has to be there for now; has some reading material and the TV gets TCM so she can watch old movies.
