  1. Dodgers Win!

“The Dodgers have a new World Series memory to cherish, 32 years in the making”

“On the shoulders of some powerful and weary men, from the bellies of a few hundred mistakes and bad breaks along the way, and for the hearts of the millions who climbed that hill north of downtown on so many nights for more than three decades, the Los Angeles Dodgers finally got it right again.

At the end of a season imposed upon, condensed and masked by the pandemic, the Dodgers on Tuesday night finished the Tampa Bay Rays at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas in six games for their first World Series title in 32 years. The Dodgers scored twice in the sixth inning after a controversial pitching change by Rays manager Kevin Cash, who opted for his bullpen over his ace, Blake Snell. Then Mookie Betts homered in the eighth inning and seven Dodgers pitchers combined to stifle the Rays for the franchise’s seventh championship.

The final score was Dodgers 3, Rays 1.

Upon the final out, when left-hander Julio Urías threw a fastball past Willy Adames, and Dodgers relievers had retired 22 of 24 Rays batters, Dodgers players and coaches swarmed the field. Catcher Austin Barnes tucked the game ball into his back pocket, raised his arms and rushed to Urías. Clayton Kershaw, who’d started and won Games 1 and 5, dashed into the celebration from the bullpen, where he’d been stationed in case of emergency.

On this night, in this October, at the end of this season, finally, there would be no emergency. Or, at least, no baseball emergency.”

  2. Now as you Cali residents watch videos of the celebrations and lack of social distancing, remember that when you’re eating your turkey alone.

“California Gov. Newsom Lays Egg With Thanksgiving COVID-19 Guidelines

Americans in other states have reasons to be grateful this year that they aren’t Californians.”

“California Governor Gavin Newsom laid a giant egg this week when he and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) applied stringent new coronavirus rules to traditional Thanksgiving Day festivities.

“Gatherings are defined as social situations that bring together people from different households at the same time in a single space or place. When people from different households mix, this increases the risk of transmission of COVID-19,” the CDPH said in a statement.

Among the rules are; all gatherings must include no more than three households, masks must stay on after eating and drinking and singing, chanting and shouting are “strongly discouraged.”

The guidelines are horrendous, impractical, and likely to be ignored by an increasingly frustrated California population. Some gems from the CDPH:

    – Gatherings must be held outside.
    – Social distancing must be maintained, 6-foot minimum separation.
    – There can be no singing or shouting.
    – The event should be 2 hours of duration or less.
    – The host should collect all attendees’ names and contact information in case contact tracing is needed later.

The response has been overwhelmingly negative.”

“US marshals rescue 45 missing children as part of ‘Operation Autumn Hope’

Authorities arrested around 179 individuals for various sex crimes during the operation”

“U.S. marshals in Ohio rescued 45 missing children and 109 additional human trafficking survivors during “Operation Autumn Hope,” the state’s attorney general announced.

Ohio Attorney General David Yost said it was the largest anti-human trafficking effort in state history.”

  4. The more that leaks, the worse it gets for Sleepy Joe and his crime syndicate family.

“Joe Biden’s relationship with Colombia’s president is highlighted in an investment proposal that Hunter Biden and a group of business partners made in an investment pitch to a Chinese energy company in 2017.

Hunter Biden and his partners sought a $10 million seed investment from CEFC China Energy, a company whose chairman had close ties to the People’s Liberation Army.

The Biden consortium’s 42-page investment outline from May 15, 2017 features Joe Biden shaking hands with Colombia’s president, and proposes investments in a Colombian oil field and a pipeline from Venezuela.

In 2017, Hunter Biden and a group of business partners seeking a $10 million investment deal with a Chinese energy firm touted Joe Biden’s friendly relations with Colombia’s president in their sales proposal, which suggested a series of oil investments in the South American country, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Hunter Biden and four other businessmen, including his uncle James Biden, highlighted the former vice president’s positive relationship with Juan Manuel Santos in a May 15, 2017 investment outline for CEFC China Energy, a Chinese energy conglomerate.

The Biden consortium, which would be called SinoHawk, sought a $10 million seed investment from CEFC China Energy, with a goal of eventually securing billions of dollars in investments in the U.S. and around the world.

The report is part of a trove of records held by Tony Bobulinski, a California-based businessman who was part of the consortium with Hunter Biden, James Biden, and two other partners.”

“Actually, the reverse of what the Cruz said should be true. The metastasizing Hunter scandal is so important that it automatically disqualifies anyone from his immediate family, anyone who had business dealings with him as well, from ever serving in this country’s state or federal governments.

And that would, of course, include his father, former vice president Joe Biden.”

  6. ~ So how do they get along?

They don’t argue. They don’t label each other. They listen to each other’s perspective, look for common ground and recognize that reasonable and good people can reach different conclusions. ~
