Prayer Requests 7-9-20

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 133

A song of ascents. Of David.

How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!

It is like precious oil poured on the head,
    running down on the beard,
   running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
It is as if the dew of Hermon
    were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
    even life forevermore.

  1. They had opened the highway to one lane sporadically as of yesterday. But then determined to close it again as the mountain continues to shift. Prayer that the workers will continue in safety as they clear the rockslide. I believe they said it covered one hundred forty five feet, forty feet deep. Anyway, there was another road going through a tiny community there but it broke in half a few years ago and they have been searching for the monies to fix it. The fix is in so we hope to drive that way on our camping trip. They say the four mile portion can take three hours to cover. The alternative is driving around, through Montana to Boise and up or around through Oregon and up.

  2. I am asking for a miracle. A little while ago, I sent an email to the branch manager of my bank, and asked him if my home loan can be forgiven outright. I said I know that it is a longshot, but I also believe that “It doesn’t hurt to at least ask”.

Please pray for favor, and that the answer will be yes. Even though I am praying that myself, of course, I told God that I will accept whatever answer comes as His will and plan. Thank you.

Nightingale and I have once more been discussing putting the house in her name, and there are a few complications involved. Having the loan off my shoulders (and hers) would be an incredible blessing anyway, but with certain matters, it would make things much easier for us to navigate.

(Sad to say, but this loan only exists because Hubby was unwise in handling finances, as well as the debt accrued from that bread route he had owned, and he didn’t fill me in on what was going on. I know that he would feel horrible about me being stuck paying off “his” loan until I am 71.)
