Prayer Requests 6-22-20

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 119:161-176

ש Sin and Shin

161 Rulers persecute me without cause,
but my heart trembles at your word.
162 I rejoice in your promise
like one who finds great spoil.
163 I hate and detest falsehood
    but I love your law.
164 Seven times a day I praise you
    for your righteous laws.
165 Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.
166 I wait for your salvation, Lord,
    and I follow your commands.
167 I obey your statutes,
    for I love them greatly.
168 I obey your precepts and your statutes,
for all my ways are known to you.

ת Taw

169 May my cry come before you, Lord;
give me understanding according to your word.
170 May my supplication come before you;
deliver me according to your promise.
171 May my lips overflow with praise,
for you teach me your decrees.
172 May my tongue sing of your word,
for all your commands are righteous.
173 May your hand be ready to help me,
for I have chosen your precepts.
174 I long for your salvation, Lord,
and your law gives me delight.
175 Let me live that I may praise you,
and may your laws sustain me.
176 I have strayed like a lost sheep.
    Seek your servant,
for I have not forgotten your commands.

  1. Prayers for another cousin and his congregation. There is a long term care facility connected to his church that is in outbreak, and they are in desperate need of staff, as a number have been infected and others are refusing to come in to work.

  2. I’ve been taking a course in Biblical healing for the last two months and we’re up to inner healing now. I went through a lot of inner healing “work” 30 years ago that was beneficial to me and my family.

Today’s lesson is hitting deep at an area the Holy Spirit has been pointing out for a few months and I’ve realized my attitude has affected my children in a negative way.

I’ve just written a letter to them, explaining, and asking for forgiveness. I’ve also asked them to hold me accountable.

The letter easily may open an enormous can of worms, but if in “turning the prism,” on how we as a family look at this issue improves our witness, then thanks be to God.

I could use some wisdom here in terms of sending the letter, timing, questions, and so forth.

Thank you. To God be the glory.

  3. Hmmm–I will pray, but would advise you to be slow to act and send that letter. It has always worked poorly for me. Plus, I question some of the benefits of some of these ‘programs’, FWIW.

We are going out among people for the first time since the middle of March, except for running quickly to the grocery store. My husband’s group has to play for an outdoor venue in mid-July so they need to practice. It will be an outdoor practice with a meal and packaged chips all made and in a sanitary way. None of us have been out and about, except if the one wife who still works decides to come. It is a bit scary, but we haven’t heard of any cases right here and we can’t stay in forever. We are still waiting for my husband to get his test for his cancer to make sure the radiation has done the job. That is my biggest concern. All prayers for wisdom and safety appreciated.

  4. Well, daughter decided to ride to town with her flat tire. Apparently took a while. She stopped at our friend’s house. Friend talked with me and did not offer her a ride or lunch but gave her water and helped her repair her tire before sending her home. But daughter is definitely in her manic phase. Non stop vile chatter.
