Prayer Requests 4-23-20

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 76

A psalm of Asaph.

God is renowned in Judah;
    in Israel his name is great.
His tent is in Salem,
    his dwelling place in Zion.
There he broke the flashing arrows,
    the shields and the swords, the weapons of war.

You are radiant with light,
    more majestic than mountains rich with game.
The valiant lie plundered,
    they sleep their last sleep;
   not one of the warriors
    can lift his hands.
At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
    both horse and chariot lie still.

It is you alone who are to be feared.
    Who can stand before you when you are angry?
From heaven you pronounced judgment,
    and the land feared and was quiet—
when you, God, rose up to judge,
    to save all the afflicted of the land.
10 Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise,
    and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.

11 Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them;
    let all the neighboring lands
    bring gifts to the One to be feared.
12 He breaks the spirit of rulers;
    he is feared by the kings of the earth.

  1. Praying for Roscuro’s cousin today, may the eyes of his heart be opened and the medical people blessed in the knowledge of Him through this.

  2. Please keep praying for Annms. I will let you all know when I get an update. I am not sure if she feels up to reading the blog. If you are on Facebook Messenger, you could send her a quick message that you are praying.

  3. I’ve got an “expectant mother” list that I pray through. It sits in my kitchen window and I glance at it while working.

    We’ve had eight successful deliveries and healthy babies since January (I assume Eli next-door is healthy since I haven’t heard otherwise).

    But, the two high-risk babies and mamas are due in the next two weeks. I got a lengthy prayer request email from Liz’s mom this morning–she’s the main concern, I can’t even list all the health issues. Bree is also in our prayers–a tiny woman with Crohn’s disease who has already lost a baby–and her mother, my cousin.

    If you could pray for the two, thank you. It’s a miracle either one got pregnant with their health issues.

    Both women have deep faith–one is a Catholic who has already lined up the immediate baptism of her baby, the other a member of Saddleback Church. Thank you. Every time I think of these two precious women and their children, I get tears in my eyes.
