When you get to nationality on the 2020 census, type in American.
I wish I’d thought to do that. It only came to me hours later than one line of my family has been in North American for 383 years. Surely that counts as American?
Loving the rain we are having today. The Sierras are expected to get up to 5 feet of snow. That is such good news as the Sierra snowpack is what we rely on for our water.
😦 He’s not doing very well, but was able to host us all for a meal and to come for a couple of meals at my sister’s home.
🙂 Went shopping at IKEA for odds and ends. We got 15% back in gift cards when we purchased our kitchen. We were able to purchase all the storage accessories and extras with the gift card, making the kitchen cost less. But we still have money on the card for things like pillows and cutting boards and other miscellany we might think we ‘need’.
🙂 Seeing my family and playing ‘Pandemic’ during the pandemic – we won 🙂
😦 The schools in our town are closed for at least two weeks starting Monday.
🙂 Boy has some schoolwork to work on, and seems to be looking forward to doing it, especially the math. (Nightingale is going to make a loose schedule for him to follow each day, which will be helpful for both Boy and me.)
My daughter does a yearly cupcake contest with her four children. She decided to have them each find their own cookie recipe and do that this year during their time off. She brought home several cookbooks from the library. I have sent some of my recipes and she has looked online if they wanted something she didn’t have.

Grateful to have a home and plenty of everything I need. And I have you all to talk to when it gets lonely.

🙂 I’m really grateful for the technology that allows us to keep physically apart yet keep in touch in real time.
