  1. Lot’s of news today, so let’s get right to it.

Actual collusion with a foreign govt. by Democrats.

“Source: Democrat Senator Held Secret Meeting In Munich With Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif

Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and other Democratic senators had a secret meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during the Munich Security Conference last week, according to a source briefed by the French delegation to the conference. Murphy’s office did not respond to repeated requests for comment by press time.

Such a meeting would mean Murphy had done the type of secret coordination with foreign leaders to potentially undermine the U.S. government that he accused Trump officials of doing as they prepared for Trump’s administration. In February 2017, Murphy demanded investigations of National Security Advisor Mike Flynn because he had a phone call with his counterpart-to-be in Russia.

“Any effort to undermine our nation’s foreign policy – even during a transition period – may be illegal and must be taken seriously,” Murphy said in 2017 after anonymous leaks of Flynn’s phone call with Russian ambassador Sergey Kisylak were published. He also strongly criticized the open letter some Republican senators sent Iranian leaders during the Obama administration’s campaign for a nuclear agreement.

However, Murphy has previously defended rogue meetings if they’re done by Democrats such as former Secretary of State John Kerry.

“Unless it was authorized by the president or secretary of state, conducting independent foreign policy sends mixed signals to our adversaries,” said Christian Whiton, former State Department senior advisor in the Trump and George W. Bush administrations. “It seems very unpalatable. If we want to talk to Iranians, they know how to reach us and they don’t need to go through an intermediary.”

More…. Bad mouthing us to our enemies.

“Sen. Chris Murphy and Other Dems Held Secret Meeting With Iranian Foreign Minister in Munich”

“On February 2, Murphy and Zarif attended a panel discussion with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, and chairman and organizer of the 50th Munich Security Conference (MSC)Wolfgang Ischinger.

Both Murphy and Zarif “fiercely” criticized U.S. policy during the discussion, according to Hemingway.”

  2. And oh look, here’s the Obama admin colluding with another foreigner to influence our elections. They’ve done everything they’ve dishonestly accused Trump of.

“Dershowitz: I Have Proof Obama Ordered FBI Investigation At Request Of George Soros”

“Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz revealed in an interview on Sunday that he has proof that former Democrat President Barack Obama ordered the FBI to investigate someone after far-left billionaire George Soros asked for the investigation.

Dershowitz’s remarks come after critics have attacked President Donald Trump for tweeting about matters related to the Department of Justice, which led to Attorney General William Barr publicly asking the president to stop last week.

“There was a lot of White House control of the Justice Department during the Kennedy administration and I don’t think we saw very many liberal professors arguing against that,” Dershowitz told Breitbart News. “I have some information as well about the Obama administration – which will be disclosed in a lawsuit at some point, but I’m not prepared to disclose it now – about how President Obama personally asked the FBI to investigate somebody on behalf of George Soros, who was a close ally of his.”

“We’ve seen this kind of White House influence on the Justice Department virtually in every Justice Department,” Dershowitz continued. “The difference this president is much more overt about it, he tweets about it. President Obama whispered to the Justice Department about it.”

“You said that George Soros asked Barack Obama to have his Justice Department investigate somebody?” Breitbart News pressed.

“That’s going to come out in a lawsuit in the near future, yeah,” Dershowitz responded. “I have in my possession the actual 302 form which documents this issue and it will at the right time come out, but I’m not free to disclose it now because it’s a case that’s not yet been filed.””

  3. The latest attacks on Barr are just the latest example of these frauds at work.

“DOJ Furor Latest Attempt To Help Democrats Hide Spygate, Undermine Elections

When the cockroaches are all scurrying across the floor, you can be sure that somebody shone a light on their nest.”

“Another spin operation appears to be afoot to thwart Attorney General William Barr’s investigation into the Russia collusion hoax and others perpetrated by high-ranking federal bureaucrats. The eye of the hurricane this weekend has focused on the Department of Justice, with news Friday that an assistant U.S. attorney declined to press charges against former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for documented lying to federal investigators under oath.”

    “Becket Adams explains that:

In 2016, McCabe, who is now a paid CNN contributor, leaked sensitive details of the bureau’s investigation of the Clinton Foundation to the press. He then misled members of the FBI’s Inspection Division when they interviewed him about the leaks, according to a February 2018 Justice Department inspector general report. McCabe provided investigators with four misleading statements, three of which were while he was under oath.

Giving false statements to federal investigators is a crime. In fact, it is the same crime for which the Justice Department went after President Trump’s disgraced former national security adviser, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

On Friday, news broke that Barr “has appointed the top federal prosecutor in St. Louis to review the criminal case against Michael Flynn – former national security adviser to President Donald Trump,” according to Reuters. This all occured in the same week an assistant U.S. attorney recommended up to nine years in prison for former Trump campaign associate Roger Stone on the grounds that he lied about gossiping about what WikiLeaks knew about Hillary Clinton’s emails.

So it appears McCabe is allowed to lie to federal investigators about corruption affecting the U.S. government, cover it up with more lies, and get off scot-free even though what he did is a crime, while Stone faces years in prison for lying about gossip that affected nothing of public importance. Flynn appears to have been entrapped by FBI agents into possibly contradicting himself while unaware that was the situation, and now faces possible prison time, to say nothing of years of legal harassment plus potential threats by prosecutors against his son. Andrew McCarthy points out the same double standard has applied to the political prosecution of former Trump campaign associate George Papadopoulos, who “was convicted of making a trivial false statement about the date of a meeting.””

Some pigs are more equal than others…..

  4. Just politics. Period.

“Left-Wing Group Organized Barr Attack Letter

The letter is just another destroy-Trump mission funded by leftists to deceive and inflame the public.”

“The headline sounded ominous: “Former Justice Dept. Lawyers Press for Barr to Step Down,” blared an article in Sunday’s New York Times. More than 1,100 former federal prosecutors signed a letter to condemn Attorney General William Barr and encourage Justice Department employees to tattle on the nation’s top lawman if they see anything naughty.

The lawyers were outraged at Barr’s decision to override “line prosecutors,” including two holdovers from the Robert Mueller investigation, who had recommended an excessive sentence against Roger Stone. “Barr’s actions in doing the President’s personal bidding unfortunately speak louder than his words,” they wrote. “Those actions, and the damage they have done to the Department of Justice’s reputation for integrity and the rule of law, require Mr. Barr to resign.”

Times reporter Katie Benner, trying to make the stunt look like a legitimate grassroots effort, attributed the letter to Protect Democracy, which she described as a “nonprofit legal group.” But Protect Democracy is not an organic activist group spontaneously created by high-minded legal experts alarmed by Trump’s alleged flouting of the rule of law. Protect Democracy was launched in early 2017 as part of an extensive anti-Trump operation managed by a leftwing tech billionaire: Pierre Omidyar, the founder of eBay. This is who is behind Protect Democracy and a number of other nonprofits formed to destroy the president.

In 2018, according to the group’s most recent tax filing, Protect Democracy collected nearly $7 million in donations; Omidyar’s most politically-active nonprofit, Democracy Fund, has donated $2 million since 2017. Democracy Fund is spending tens of millions each year to underwrite dozens of anti-Trump projects. “Over the past two years, I have seen alarming and sometimes unprecedented violations of our country’s democratic norms,” Joe Goldman, the fund’s president, wrote in 2018.

Protect Democracy houses a number of former Democratic staffers—including a former aide to U.S. Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.)—and Obama White House alumni. Ricki Seidman, last seen advising Christine Blasey Ford, is a director for Protect Democracy.

Several NeverTrumpers also are involved with Protect Democracy; National Review columnists Mona Charen and Linda Chavez, ABC News pundit Matthew Dowd, and failed presidential candidate Evan McMullin serve as advisors. As I’ve reported before, Omidyar is the sugar daddy for many NeverTrump outlets. The Bulwark, the offshoot of the shuttered Weekly Standard, is partially funded by Omidyar: Charlie Sykes, the Bulwark’s editor-in-chief, serves on the board of Democracy Fund.

Omidyar also funds Republicans for the Rule of Law, headed by Bill Kristol; Lawfare, a central peddler of Russian collusion hoax propaganda; R Street, home to disgraced FBI lawyer James Baker; and Stand-Up Republic, headed by McMullin. All have been on the attack against Trump and Barr.”

    Lot’s more traitors……

  5. Amy lurches left, because guess what? She’s a leftist!

“Klobuchar Lurches Left In Nevada, Flip Flops On Immigration”

“Hey, remember when Amy Klobuchar was considered one of the moderates in the Democrat presidential primary race? Apparently she has decided she doesn’t like running in that lane. It sure looks like she is doing all she can to move farther left as she campaigns in Nevada ahead of this week’s caucuses.

Recently Ed wrote about the scrutiny Klobuchar is receiving now that she’s made it this far in the primary race. The issue that really jumps out is that of immigration. She is striking an apologetic tone for her votes taken as a new senator in 2007 on immigration issues like the wall and designating English as the national language.

In 2007, Klobuchar supported a bill to increase the length of the border wall and also increase the number of Border Patrol agents. Her yes vote was the same as Hillary Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s at the time. Bernie Sanders, however, voted no. Sanders was opposed to the bill because he thought it would bring too many low-skilled guest workers into the country. Now that the far left open borders crowd no longer tolerate any support for ICE or the Border Patrol agents working on the border, Klobuchar is, for the first time, facing scrutiny on her past votes.

After taking office in 2007, she voted in favor of a bill that called for 370 miles (595 kilometers) of “triple-layered (border) fencing” and 500 miles (800 kilometers) of vehicle barriers. It also sought to roughly double the number of Border Patrol agents from about 12,000 at the time, adding 11,600 agents over five years. Obama and then-New York Sen. Hillary Clinton also voted for the bill. Sanders voted no. He said in 2015 that he opposed the 2007 bill because it included a guest worker program that would allow too many low-wage workers into the U.S.

Klobuchar said Friday that she took “a lot of heat” during the 2006 Senate race for being too lenient on immigration, saying that almost every ad run against her was about immigration but that her support for immigrants “has not wavered.”

“Immigrants don’t diminish America — they are America,” she said in Reno on Friday afternoon.

Now that questions are being asked and she is being held accountable for positions that still seem perfectly reasonable – supporting a border wall and increasing Border Patrol numbers – she conflates legal immigration with illegal immigration. Pete Buttigieg, another candidate in the so-called moderate lane, is calling her out, without specifically naming her, for voting to confirm Kevin McAleenan, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner.

“I’ve heard some people say that, you know, my experience is not relevant because you have to have Washington experience in order to become a president,” Buttigieg said during a forum hosted by the League of United Latin American Citizens, the largest Hispanic civil rights organization. “But some of those same voices are among those who voted to confirm Kevin McAleenan as the CBP head who presided over, for example, the horrifying conditions that children were kept in, and we have to look at what kind of judgment that experience has brought.”

She claims that she voted to confirm McAleenan because Obama officials and others recommended she do so. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto from Nevada also voted for his confirmation. Sanders and Elizabeth Warren voted against him. Now Klobuchar says she disagrees “vehemently” with the Trump administration’s border policies.

There is also the matter of that vote Klobuchar took in 2007 to reverse President Clinton’s executive order requiring federal agencies to provide materials in languages other than English. She was one of 17 Democrats that voted yes. The vote was 64-33 but the larger immigration bill failed. Today’s Democrat candidates can’t support an amendment to declare English as the national language of the United States, you know. There is simply no room for common sense. Other red-state Democrats supported the bill. Bernie and Joe Biden both voted no, as well as Harry Reid and Barack Obama. Now she is back-peddling as fast as she can – that was way back then.”

  6. Bloomberg is just repulsive, on a lot of levels…..

  7. ——–

  8. And who can forget this little blast from the past….

“Flashback: Remember When Bloomberg Evicted Churches From Rented Public Schools?”

“Er, I did not recall this, but Michael Wear certainly does. Yesterday, Wear posted a Twitter reminder of a Michael Bloomberg-era school board policy that chased dozens of faith communities out of public-school rentals. At the time, the New York City school board argued that rentals of public-school facilities to churches and other faith communities for the conduct of their religious services violated the Constitution, and Bloomberg cheered the board of education when it went to court to keep them locked out.

And at least in court, he won. In February 2012, after the Supreme Court declined to intervene in Bronx Household of Faith v. Board of Education, the doors officially closed for several years on religious groups seeking accommodations that the NY public schools gave other groups. However, various court actions dragged out the issue until it later got mooted:

On the last Sunday before a city policy went into effect barring religious services in public schools, leaders of congregations around the city expressed a range of responses, with some taking a pragmatic attitude and others vowing to not give up without a fight. …

After years of litigation, a federal court recently upheld the city’s decision to not allow services in public schools, and the city set Sunday as the deadline for dozens of congregations that had been meeting in schools to move out.

“It isn’t right what’s happened,” Mr. Schefter said of the court’s decision, “but we’re fighting the good fight, and God’s opening doors for us.””

  9. Something to keep in mind as you head to vote in Nov..

“Senate Democrats Insist Babies Born Alive After Abortions Should Be Left To Die

Why should one baby down the hall be given care while another is left to die? Sen. Joni Ernst asked the Senate Judiciary Committee. Not one Democrat in the room could answer the question.”

“The Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act is not about restricting abortions but about giving newborns a chance to survive no matter where they are born, said Sen. Ben Sasse, the bill’s lead co-sponsor, at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday.

During the hearing, called “The Infant Patient: Ensuring Appropriate Medical Care for Children Born Alive,” Republican senators questioned why a baby born in a hospital should be treated differently than a baby born in an abortion facility. Democrats, lacking an answer, changed the subject.

Thirteen committee senators heard from five female witnesses, three who shared powerful testimony and two who expressed concerns about the bill.

Babies Are Just Like Any Other Patients
The first witness was Dr. Robin Pierucci, a neonatologist who has spent her career caring for babies born too early. All babies born alive should be cared for, she said. She referred to the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, which provides guidelines for helping a baby transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life. The program defines the standard of care medical staff is responsible for providing to babies born alive.

Pierucci explained that all doctors should promise to provide this standard of care to all human beings. “There is no ethical reason why this medical standard of care should be abandoned for a subgroup of people because they might be less ‘wanted’ than others; wanted-ness does not determine humanness,” she said.

Pierucci pointed out that treating babies differently just because of who delivered them, where they were delivered, or their condition at birth is wrong. “It would be an abandonment of my medical and ethical duty if I only responded to the need of some babies and not to others.”

“We too should never allow a baby, especially a baby, to die anywhere but in the warmth of our arms, nestled securely against our hearts,” she argued. She finished by clarifying that all babies born alive are real patients, and just like every other patient, medical care should be available and medical professionals should have necessary training to stabilize them.”

  10. Democrats should be kept away from children.

“The Face Of Transgender Child Abuse”

“If you happened to catch last Wednesday night’s edition of NBC Nightly News, you may have seen the profile they did of 9-year-old Jacob Lemay. So what is it about a child of that tender age that would merit a chunk of NBC’s prime news space? Jacob wasn’t always Jacob, you see. And “he” was born a she. Yes, Jacob is a transgender child.

Now, given how many of these tragic stories we hear about and the way the mainstream media loves to fawn over them, this probably wouldn’t have been all that surprising. But this story comes with a couple of decided twists that make it worth our time to bring up. When you find out how and when her “transition” process began, you’ll understand how this is probably a disaster in the making that would be considered child abuse in any sane society. (Newsbusters)

NBC’s primetime slot featured trans boy Jacob Lemay for the second time since his transition from a biological female. Bear in mind, NBC actually reported that Jacob started transitioning when “he” was only two years old. The network reported it straight as if it was some beautiful fact of life and a lesson for the rest of us.

    Lord help us.

NBC journalist Kate Snow sat down with Jacob in his home to discuss his life as a trans kid. Her report started with the LGBTQ propaganda immediately. She described Jacob as a “typical fourth grader in every way but one,” and asked him directly about his decision to switch genders. “What does being transgender mean to you?”

“It’s not how you act or what you wear or anything like that. It’s just how you really are inside,” he said. Ah, yes, America, adjust your values accordingly. Jacob added, “You just feel like you got put in the wrong body.”

There’s no question that Jacob has all the standard trans agenda talking points down pat. How and where she learned all of that is left up to the viewer to decide, but you can probably guess. But that’s not the truly alarming part. As mentioned in the excerpt above and repeated throughout the interview, Jacob’s parents insist that this process began when their child was two years old. Yes, you read that correctly. A 2-year-old little girl supposedly began insisting that she was a boy and informing her parents of this.

I’m sorry (not really), but give me a break. At the age of two, the vast majority of children don’t even have a fully formed concept of gender beyond some words separating the brothers from the sisters. That’s barely old enough for preschool, so it wasn’t coming from any sort of peer pressure. And it’s long, long before any sort of sexual development questions begin to arise.

In short, that came from the mother, the father, or both. But why might we suspect that one of them had some sort of an agenda? Oh… I suppose it could be because mom has some books to sell. And the book is on the subject of (I’m sure you couldn’t have possibly guessed already) transgender transitioning. Or maybe they just really wanted a son. You’d have to ask them.”

  11. Tick-tock Joe……

It’s only a matter of time before your corrupt family is exposed further.

    “FBI Raids James Biden-Tied Business”

“FBI agents last month raided the home of the CEO of a bankrupt hospital chain and one of its hospitals in Pennsylvania in new signs of trouble for a company central to accusations of influence-peddling by James Biden, brother of former Vice President Joe Biden.

The federal investigation was disclosed in documents filed this month by the acting U.S. trustee overseeing the bankruptcy case of Florida-based Americore Holdings, which is in the business of acquiring and managing rural hospitals.

The filing in Kentucky by the federal trustee, Paul A. Randolph, seeks the appointment of a trustee specifically to oversee the bankruptcy case, or otherwise the dismissal of the firm’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection from creditors. It said the company’s CEO, Grant White, had “grossly mismanaged” his business; “has not operated the hospitals in a manner that is consistent with public safety”; and “improperly siphoned money from the Debtors for his personal benefit.”

The firm declared bankruptcy in December. On Jan. 29, the court documents say, the FBI raided White’s home at a location unspecified and, the next day, one of its hospitals, Ellwood City Medical Center in Pennsylvania. A week later a Kentucky court granted a motion to remove White as CEO.

White did not respond to requests for comment and efforts to reach his company by phone were unsuccessful.

The federal trustee’s filing did not mention the younger brother of the current Democratic presidential candidate. This past summer, however, James Biden and White were named in a lawsuit alleging fraud, along with Biden’s partner, hedge fund manager Michael Lewitt. The lawsuit, filed by Tennessee businessman Michael Frey and his partner Dr. Mohannad Azzam, owners of Diverse Medical Management, also named Amer Rustom, another investor in Americore along with Biden and Lewitt.

The lawsuit alleges that James Biden had a prominent role in the company. One exhibit filed in the lawsuit is a photograph of an Americore business card that Biden reportedly handed out listing him as a “principal” in the company.

Frey alleges that when Diverse Medical Management and Americore were in talks to merge, Jim Biden promised to exploit his brother’s political influence as vice president to attract international investors and make the venture successful.

Lewitt is alleged to have alluded to the Vice President’s clout in a text message to Frey to calm the latter’s worry about legal liability to his firm over an acquisition: “Jim [Biden] told me. Don’t worry every time someone threatens to sue you you’re with us now nobody is gonna touch you.” According to the lawsuit, “It was Frey’s understanding that Lewitt was implying that DMM [Diverse Medical Management] was ‘protected’ because of Jim Biden’s connections.”

The lawsuit also alleges that after failing to deliver on several promises made to Frey and Azzam, Biden took control of their dealings with Americore. “Biden instructed that Plaintiffs should no longer speak with Americore and White, but instead should deal exclusively with the Investor Defendants and their respective agents going forward, who would ensure that Plaintiffs’ model would find its way into hospitals and thrive,” the lawsuit says.

Throughout these dealings, Biden and the other defendants in the lawsuit are said to have pushed Frey and Azzam to take out loans and buy up failing rural hospitals that they hoped to turn around. They made these investments with their own money, on the assurance that they would be paid back when Biden helped secure investments from Dogan Holding—one of Turkey’s largest conglomerates.”

  12. Our pastor sometimes makes the point that (as with legalized abortion) we are being used by God as the very means or vehicle of our own cultural judgement.

Bloomberg is just annoying. His ads now run constantly in California.

  13. Annoying?

Oh no DJ, he’s so much more than that. 🙂

He’s the gift that keeps giving. 🙂

“Bloomberg in 2011: Black, Latino Males ‘Don’t Know How to Behave in the Workplace’”

“I don’t agree with being politically correct, but PHRASING!”

    “From Fox News (emphasis mine):

Speaking to PBS in the 2011 interview, Bloomberg noted that he had donated $30 million from his foundation to Open Society Foundations, the network established by liberal billionaire financier Goerge Soros, toward the new plan to enhance employment among minorities.

Taxpayers and Soros himself contributed to the jobs initiative, which set up job recruitment centers in public housing projects, placed probation centers in “high-risk” areas, and linked black and Latino success in schools to Department of Education “progress reports.”

“Well, for a long time, people have said there’s nothing you can do about it, but blacks and Latinos score terribly in school testing compared to whites and Asians. If you look at our jails, it’s predominantly minorities,” Bloomberg said in the interview.

He added: “If you look at where crime takes place, it’s in minority neighborhoods. If you look at who the victims and the perpetrators are, it’s virtually all minorities. This is something that has gone on for a long time. I assume it’s prevalent elsewhere but it’s certainly true in New York City. And for many, many years, people said there’s just nothing you can do about it.”

“Nevertheless, there’s this enormous cohort of black and Latino males, age, let’s say, 16 to 25,” Bloomberg said, “that don’t have jobs, don’t have any prospects, don’t know how to find jobs, don’t know what their skill sets are, don’t know how to behave in the workplace where they have to work collaboratively and collectively.”

  14. That was some end to the race yesterday.

Thankfully his injuries, although serious, are not life threatening.

  15. Pardoning Kerik surprises me somewhat.

Rod Blagovich makes perfect sense on the other hand. He was only ever convicted to smear and slander him so they could hand pick Obama’s Senate replacement, rather than let the Gov do it as the law stated. Plus, then when he ratted out Obama’s land deal no one would listen. He was the left’s Scooter Libby. They were just mad that he tried to sell Obama’s seat, instead of letting Obama and the Dem establishment do it. And he wasn’t pardoned, he just had his sentence commuted.

  16. Kerik seems like the kind of choice a pardoning president would make.

He appears to be “rehabilitated” from the “ethics violations” he was prone too. (Home loan at zero interest).

“Kerik, Out of Prison and More Subdued, Seeks to Rebuild His Reputation”

“The burly Bernard B. Kerik of old may not have recognized the newer, slimmed-down version who showed up to speak to an impressionable group of aspiring police officers in Queens on Saturday morning.

This Mr. Kerik was subdued, clean-shaven: not exactly the hard-bitten law-and-order man whose cocksure approach fueled an unlikely rise from beat cop to corrections and then police commissioner, jet-set consultant, and the Bush administration’s choice to lead the Department of Homeland Security in 2004.

He showed less of the lock-’em-up bravado, the swagger during his law-enforcement career, before a series of ethics violations led him to plead guilty to fraud charges in 2009 and he spent three years in a minimum-security prison in Maryland. Released from prison in May, he is now on probation.

“Today I’m a convicted felon,” Mr. Kerik, 58, told the class.

After several years avoiding interviews, Mr. Kerik is now seeking attention. He has ideas for reforming the federal criminal justice system — easing mandatory minimum sentences, for example — that are born of personal experience. He wants to rehabilitate his reputation and build a new career as a speaker and consultant.”

The Milken one also makes sense. He served his time, and seems to have made good and changed his ways. Pardons are for exactly cases like his….

“Michael Robert Milken (born July 4, 1946) is an American financier and philanthropist. He is noted for his role in the development of the market for high-yield bonds (“junk bonds”),[2] and his conviction and sentence following a guilty plea on felony charges for violating U.S. securities laws.[3] Since his release from prison, he has also become known for his charitable giving.[4][5][6][7]

Milken was indicted for racketeering and securities fraud in 1989 in an insider trading investigation. As the result of a plea bargain, he pleaded guilty to securities and reporting violations but not to racketeering or insider trading. Milken was sentenced to ten years in prison, fined $600 million, and permanently barred from the securities industry by the Securities and Exchange Commission. His sentence was later reduced to two years for cooperating with testimony against his former colleagues and for good behavior.[8] Since his release from prison, Milken has funded medical research.[9]

He is co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, chairman of the Milken Institute, and founder of medical philanthropies funding research into melanoma, cancer and other life-threatening diseases. A prostate cancer survivor, Milken has devoted significant resources to research on the disease.[10] In a November 2004 cover article, Fortune magazine called him “The Man Who Changed Medicine” for changes in approach to funding and results that he initiated.[9] Milken’s compensation while head of the high-yield bond department at Drexel Burnham Lambert in the late 1980s exceeded $1 billion over a four-year period, a record for U.S. income at that time.[11] With an estimated net worth of around $3.7 billion as of 2018, he is ranked by Forbes magazine as the 606th richest person in the world.[1][12]”

But Rod is the one the media will most fixate on, because he knows where the bodies are, so to speak…. and Obama and his friends know that too, so their attacks will be relentless.

  17. I don’t get it. Seriously.
I read the clips about Michael Amanitti.
I don’t know who he is. So I goggled it.,
Turns out, he is Stormy Daniels lawyer and is in trouble over scamming Nike.

So? Why all the fuss about him challenging Trump?

  18. Chas,

The point of the clip is to how the media loved the guy, and couldn’t get enough of him. He was gonna be the guy who took out Trump. They should be laughed at for ever taking the guy seriously. He’s a criminal. The media had him running in 2020 against Trump. Instead, he’s looking at 20 and the media look like @%#hats for ever giving him a forum. They deserve ridicule after the fawning over him they did above.

  19. Thanx AJ. I haven’t been following this closely.
I also goggled Stormy Daniels. The woman is 40 years old. She needs to secure herself because at that age, her (presumed) profession will soon end.

  20. I’m not sure how to view Bloomberg. He does expose the incompetence of the DNC. They should be regretting their decision to change the debate rules to allow him on stage. As Bloomberg was until recently a Republican one can’t help but wonder why he isn’t on the Republican primary if he is so sure he can beat Trump. If I was a conspiracy nut, I might think he’s still a Republican and is in the Democratic primary to essentially create chaos and/or help Bernie by splitting the moderate. In any case, he’s wasting alot of money better spent on the poor instead of his ego. A good case for a wealth tax.

Dershowitz has jumped the shark. Part of his argument in defense of Trump was anything the president does in the interest of the nation is legal. Thus if Trump thought invesitgating Biden was in the best interest of the nation it was legal. Applying that same argument to the Obama admin, his claims of a plot to favor Clinton in the election can be refuted by his own arguments. He seems to enjoy the spotlight and probably has a book to sell soon.

The FBI is investigating Biden? But isn’t the FBI part of the Deep State and hence unreliable. From my perch, the DOJ, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies have become politicized in the last 4 years. Its always been the case — see Hoover’s war on the left — but its blatantly political now. Of course the Deep State is a ludicrous concept. It reminds me of the McCarthy’s claims of a communist subversives working in the gov’t. His claim had some basis in facts — there were some communist gov’t workers but not an organized plot. The Deep State concept plays on the same type of fears but has no basis in fact and demonstrates history repeats itself as a farce.

I like Klobucher. Obviously she is far too moderate for me but she has this “soccer mom” persona I can appreciate. Its ironic the Trump was impeached bc he was looking for Biden dirt and still is yet it looks like he’s not going to be the candidate. I think it will be close but I do think Bernie can beat Trump, probably a tougher candidate than Biden. I wonder if the Trump camp realizes how competitive Bernie is.

  21. The current trans debate is interesting. It reminds of the multiple personalities and child abuse scandals of the 80s and 90s. Suddenly therapists were diagnosing multiple personalities resulting from buried child abuse. Now, some of these diagnoses were legitimate, but for the most part therapist were following the latest fad or trend. Fast forward to the present and I think we see the same thing repeating itself.

In teaching 12-14 year olds for the last 20 years, there’s always been gay students — roughly 2-3% (1 or 2 a year) but in the last three years I’ve encountered at least four students who claimed to be trans. In two cases, the students were on the autism spectrum and the other two were probably sexually abused as a child. The latter thus had a distorted perspective of gender and sexuality due to personal history, but the former might make some sense. Similar to the multiple personalities claims, there are legitimate trans gender students. In the past, they were rolled into the greater gay scene and hid themselves from mainstream society. In an open society aided by the internet, there’s greater awareness. For those who have legitimate needs in relation to gender and sexuality this may be positive but we (parents, teacher, therapists, etc) have to be careful in diagnosis, labels and counselling.

  22. HRW, Bloomberg was only a Republican for 6 or 7 years, starting in time to run for NYC mayor. I’m not sure how that was to his advantage, but he did get elected. Before that he’d always been a Democrat.

Halfway through his 12 years as mayor he declared himself independent, then finally returned home to the Democrats two years ago.

He really is where he belongs in the Democratic primaries.

  23. And….

“Landslide? New Poll Of Nevada Suggests Bernie Is Pulling Away”

“Landslide” is a relative term, of course. Bernie’s not going to get so much as 50 percent of the vote in Nevada.

But given the photo finish in Iowa and the surprisingly tight margin in New Hampshire, a comfortable win would be impressive and potentially game-changing depending upon just how comfortable it is. Nevada’s apt to be the last state that’s hotly contested by the big four that have dominated the top tier for the past year. Warren will likely be done after the vote and Buttigieg and Klobuchar may be relegated to de facto also-ran status after their moment in the sun in New Hampshire. By his own admission, Biden needs a second-place finish in Nevada in order to build momentum before must-win South Carolina.
