  1. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.

A Vice President and a political hack walk into a State Dept. Dinner……

“Alleged whistleblower Eric Ciaramella was Biden guest at State Department banquet”

“Eric Ciaramella, the alleged Ukraine whistleblower, was a guest of Vice President Joe Biden at a glitzy lunch in October 2016 to honor the prime minister of Italy.

Biden co-hosted the banquet with former Secretary of State John Kerry for then-Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Ciaramella, who is of Italian heritage, was among the U.S. officials who accepted an invitation. This week, the Washington Examiner reported that Ciaramella is now a deputy national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia on the National Intelligence Council, reporting to the director of national intelligence.

Ciaramella, a career CIA analyst, was Ukraine director on the National Security Council during the end of the Obama administration and remained there during the early months of the Trump administration, when he was briefly acting senior director for European and Russian affairs. He is now accused of being the official who filed a complaint about a July 25 phone call in which President Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into a conspiracy theory regarding CrowdStrike and investigate Biden, a Democratic candidate for president in 2020, in relation to his son Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine.

The complaint sparked concerns about potential abuse of power and led to impeachment proceedings in the Democrat-controlled House in which witnesses have said they believe Trump held out on meeting with Zelensky and congressionally-approved military aid in exchange for political favors.

Ciaramella, 33, is listed among dozens of other people who were invited to the October 2016 event hosted by Biden under the category “WH EOVP,” or the White House Executive Office of the Vice President, in an unclassified State Department document released through the Freedom of Information Act. An “A” appears next to his name, indicating he accepted the invitation.

On Oct. 6, the Washington Examiner reported the whistleblower worked with Biden during the Obama administration and is a career CIA analyst with deep expertise in Ukraine policy.

Out of over 400 possible guests for the State Department event, 115 people were listed as having accepted invitations, although key Trump-Russia investigation figures such as former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, former National Intelligence Director James Clapper, and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch all declined their invitations, according to the guest list. Other notable figures such as then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, former House Speaker Paul Ryan, then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, John and Tony Podesta, Colin Powell, and Condoleezza Rice received invitations too.

Besides inviting Ciaramella, Biden’s office, as opposed to the State Department or another entity, sent invitations to more than thirty other people, including Obama press secretary Josh Earnest, Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, Obama Homeland Security adviser Lisa Monaco, Obama speechwriter Ben Rhodes, and Obama national security adviser Susan Rice.

RealClearInvestigations named Ciaramella as the whistleblower last week. The report cites U.S. officials who said the invite to Ciaramella, “a relatively low-level GS-13 federal employee, was unusual and signaled he was politically connected inside the Obama White House.”

But it’s all just a coincidence, right? Again……

  2. The DoJ admits the FBI fudged the record on Gen. Flynn.

A disgusting abuse of power that ruined the career and life of a good man who served with honor. Something these hacks should try for a change.

“The attorneys prosecuting former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn were forced to admit in a Tuesday letter to Flynn’s legal defense that the notes which formed the official document describing Flynn’s January 2017 interview were not written by agent Peter Strzok, as they’ve maintained throughout the case.

“We were informed that the notes we had identified as Peter Strzok’s, were actually the other agent’s notes (see Surreply, Exhibit 1), and what we had identified as the other agent’s notes were in fact Strzok’s notes (see Surreply, Exibit 2)” the letter to Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell reads.

The FBI’s admission calls into further question the credibility of the case and of former FBI agent Peter Strzok, who told the FBI that his partner Joe Pientka was “primarily responsible for taking notes and writing the FD-302.” The case against Flynn, who entered a guilty plea for lying to the FBI in December 2017, centers around the 302 form, which per Bureau protocol, stands in place of a transcript, as the FBI does not record its interviews.

In defending Flynn, Powell has argued that Strzok’s supposed notes were too orderly and well constructed to have been taken in the actual interview. Now the letter, coupled with prosecution’s release of notes last week, apparently reveal that Strzok, in fact, took the majority of the notes in the interview

Strzok led the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server, and was fired from Mueller’s investigative team when text messages disparaging President Trump were discovered between him and FBI colleague Lisa Page, with whom he was having an affair.

The letter was prompted by Powell’s bombshell allegation that the FBI deliberately manipulated the original 302 document to suggest that Flynn lied about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

“Those changes added an unequivocal statement that ‘Flynn stated he did not’ — in response to whether Mr. Flynn had asked Kislyak to vote in a certain manner or slow down the UN vote [on sanctions],” Powell wrote. “This is a deceptive manipulation because, as the notes of the agents show, Mr. Flynn was not even sure he had spoken to Russia/Kislyak on the issue. He had talked to dozens of countries.”

“That question and answer does not appear in the notes, yet it was made into a criminal offense,” Powell argued in the motion. “The draft also shows that the agents moved a sentence to make it seem to be an answer to a question it was not.””

  3. Sorry Dems.

Executive privilege is a real thing, and no, it’s not obstruction when a president claims it. 🙂

I feel like these hacks should already know all this…..

“WaPo: Bolton No-Shows Schiff But Willing To Testify — If A Court Rules Against Executive Privilege”

“Did John Bolton just make House Democrats an offer they can’t refuse? According to the Washington Post, Donald Trump’s former national security adviser has a story to tell and a couple more to corroborate. All they have to do is issue a subpoena for his testimony — and then let him challenge it in court first to determine whether it’s truly covered under executive privilege, as Trump claims.

    Fair deal?

Former national security adviser John Bolton is willing to defy the White House and testify in the House impeachment inquiry about his alarm at the Ukraine pressure campaign if a federal court clears the way, according to people familiar with his views.

Bolton could be a powerful witness for Democrats: Top State Department and national security officials have already testified that he was deeply concerned about efforts by Trump and his allies to push Ukraine to open investigations into the president’s political rivals while the Trump administration held up military aid to that country.

The former national security adviser, who abruptly left his post in September, is expected to confirm their statements and describe his conversations with Trump, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the ongoing inquiry.

However, Bolton, a longtime GOP foreign policy adviser, does not want to comply with the Democratic inquiry without a court ruling on the ongoing constitutional dispute between the Trump administration and Congress, the people said.

    Er … no, apparently:”

“What’s the rush? Well, it might be that Bolton is less enthusiastic about the idea of testifying than the Washington Post report lets on. The House Democrats’ reaction comes in part because Bolton refused to show up for the deposition to which he was invited this morning. Axios’ report on the no-show makes the refusal sound more purposeful:

Former White House national security adviser John Bolton did not appear for his closed-door deposition on Thursday, instead telling the House committees conducting the impeachment inquiry that he would challenge a potential subpoena for his testimony in court.

Why it matters: A House Intelligence Committee official said that Democrats have “no interest in allowing the administration to play a rope-a-dope with us in the courts for months,” and that the White House’s decision to block Bolton from testifying will be used as further evidence of obstruction for a potential article of impeachment.

Accordingly, they also withdrew a subpoena for Bolton aide Charles Kupperman yesterday. That definitely relates to a sense of urgency to get this show to its obvious conclusion, which is a recommendation for adoption of articles of impeachment. House Democrats think that challenges to subpoenas amounts to a campaign of obstruction, which implies in their response that they believe Bolton to be part of that strategy. If that’s the case, then Bolton’s testimony would be useless to them — and cost them many weeks of waiting for that uselessness to boot.”

  4. And here’s more on the “whistleblower’s” hack lawyer.

    End the charade.

“An attorney for the anonymous member of the intelligence community whose complaint about a call between President Trump and the president of Ukraine kick-started the unhinged partisan impeachment witch hunt now underway has been unmasked as a rabid Trump-hater who predicted a “coup” against the president.

As a result, attorney Mark Zaid – who represents the anonymous person now commonly described only as “the whistleblower” – has just become a witness in the case, which is really a Democratic coup attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 presidential election.

A Fox News article published Wednesday exposed Zaid’s furious Twitter tirade against Trump that began just days after Trump’s inauguration in 2017. Zaid tweeted that a “coup has started” against Trump and that “impeachment will follow ultimately.”

At a campaign rally in Louisiana Wednesday night for Republican gubernatorial candidate Eddie Rispone, President Trump called out Zaid for writing the angry tweets.

Zaid tweeted in response to Obama holdover Acting Attorney General Sally Yates’ defiance of a presidential order over the new administration’s travel ban on people wanting to enter the United States from countries that are incubators for terrorism. The president imposed the ban as a national security measure.

Months after his original January tweet about an anti-Trump coup, Zaid tweeted the prediction that “@CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president.” As if we needed more proof that CNN is nothing more than an arm of the Democratic National Committee.”

In response to these new revelations, President Trump confronted the situation head-on Wednesday by repeating his mantra that the left’s sick obsession with trying to remove him from office is “all a hoax.”

The president is right and has been right all along. The left has been trying to destroy him for three years and will never stop, because they hate him more than they love our country.

On Thursday the president tweeted to call for an end to the impeachment inquiry, writing: “Based on the information released last night about the Fake Whistleblowers attorney, the Impeachment Hoax should be ended IMMEDIATELY!”

The president’s hard shot caused Zaid to issue a weak and defensive statement that read in part: “The coup comment referred to those working inside the Administration who were already, just a week into office, already standing up to him to enforce recognized rules of law.”

Zaid is so impeachment-crazed that he confirmed the existence of a coup in a statement that was designed to deny it.

If House Democrats are going to force the president’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, to testify in their farcical impeachment investigation, then Zaid is fair game as well.”

  5. I don’t like the picture and I don’t like the word “betray” in the headline, but the article is interesting, particularly the story of Francis Rooney.

  6. I am also concerned about the recent behavior of Trump’s favorite heretic and floozy. However, I intend to continue to do my walking in malls on cold, rainy days.

  7. Shouldn’t you be sobbing into a pillow somewhere at this point?

    Poor thing. 🙂

  8. More winning. 🙂

    Thanks Trump and McConnell! 🙂

“President Trump is quite pleased with his new best friend, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, as he should be. McConnell has made it his mission during the Trump administration to push through a number of judicial nominations that rival Trump’s predecessors.

It was time to stop and smell the roses. During days that are filled with the constant drumbeat of Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, celebrating the success of McConnell’s efforts in the Senate is a good opportunity to change the conversation. President Trump, Vice President Pence, Attorney General Barr, and Senate Republicans gathered in the East Room to pat themselves on the back and do a little crowing.

It is an impressive record so far. Trump noted that the total to date is a “profoundly historic milestone” with confirmations. Total confirmations have risen past 150 and are expected to soon reach 182. That is music to the ears of Republican voters.

The president has worked with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) to fill the federal bench with young conservative judges during his first three years in office, an effort that has been embraced by Republican voters.

To date, Mr. Trump has seen more than 150 judicial nominees confirmed, including two Supreme Court justices and 43 judges for the federal appeals courts, which are the final stop for most cases. By comparison, President Obama at the same point in his first term saw about 40 fewer judges confirmed, including half as many to the appeals courts.

The most important appointments, of course, are the two Supreme Court justices. Democrats lament the conservative tilt of the court now, though the truth is that not much difference has been seen from past sessions, at least not yet. If Trump wins re-election and gets to replace a liberal Supreme Court justice, say, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, then that could be a gamechanger for conservatives. It is very important, too, that Trump is filling vacancies with younger nominees for lifetime appointments. The younger ones are often more conservative than the moderates appointed in the past. The effect of his nominees on the bench will last for decades.”

    You’re welcome. 🙂

  9. Ruh-roh.

This should be fun to watch play out.

  10. It sure looks like she perjured herself.

  11. Schifty continues to try and rig the game.

For a third world banana republic at least.

  12. Megyn Kelly’s interview with the person fired for the Project Veritas video release, even though she’s not the leaker, and no longer with ABC. CBS for some reason has fired her over it.

  13. Once again, the only ones colluding with Russia were the Democrats.

Their latest clown show is now undermining their last clown show.

I think we now know what Warner and Dems are hiding above. The fact that they fell for a Russian disinformation campaign. Not because it was good, but because they wanted to in order to bring down Trump. They and their NT friends have been willing tools all along.

“Impeachment Witness Undercut Steele Dossier In Bombshell Testimony”

“Fiona Hill, who was the top Russia expert at the White House, told lawmakers in October that she believed Russians fed disinformation to dossier author Christopher Steele.

Hill offered a scathing portrayed of Steele during a deposition she gave as part of the Democratic-led impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump.

Hill said she was “shocked” to find out that Steele was the author of the dossier, in part because she had known him to “constantly try to drum up business.”
The FBI relied heavily on Steele’s information for its investigation into possible Trump-Russia collusion.

A former White House official who Democrats consider a key witness in their impeachment inquiry told lawmakers in October that she believed Russians likely planted disinformation about President Donald Trump with dossier author Christopher Steele.

Fiona Hill, who served as the White House’s top adviser on Russia affairs until July, told lawmakers she was “shocked” to find out that Steele, a former MI6 officer, was the author of the dossier. That’s in large part because when she had met with Steele in the years leading up to his dossier work, he was “constantly try to drum up business.”

  14. Not that anyone with a brain needed more proof this is a set-up…..

    Lather, rinse, repeat…..

You can’t do that without some scrubbing, right?

“Scrub-a-dub-dub: Did the whistleblower scrub his social media footprint before filing his complaint?”

“RealClearInvestigations writer Paul Sperry, who exposed the anti-Trump impeachment whistleblower as one Eric Ciaramella, has found something else interesting about the man.”

“He did a pre-scrub of his social media footprint, quite possibly anticipating that he might just get famous.

Sperry points out that it roughly parallels what was seen in the social media presence of anti–Judge Brett Kavanaugh accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. Chesa Boudin, as I noted here, seems to have done the same thing.

Lefy ideas stink. Hence the planning. The coordinating. The gettiing ready for the big bomb to go off and protecting oneself from fallout.”

  15. When the Never Trumper arrives home from work, what new tales of Trumpian incompetence and corruption are there to entertain?

  16. Quick! Move the goal posts again!

So predictable, every time your latest NT scam collapses, you quickly run out the next bunch. Sooner or later something has to stick, right?
