It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.
Anyone else?
Psalm 66
1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
2 Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious.
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.
4 All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name.”
5 Come and see what God has done,
his awesome deeds for mankind!
6 He turned the sea into dry land,
they passed through the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice in him.
7 He rules forever by his power,
his eyes watch the nations—
let not the rebellious rise up against him.
8 Praise our God, all peoples,
let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 he has preserved our lives
and kept our feet from slipping.
10 For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver.
11 You brought us into prison
and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water,
but you brought us to a place of abundance.
13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
and fulfill my vows to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
and an offering of rams;
I will offer bulls and goats.
16 Come and hear, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened
and has heard my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!
Please pray for my friend, Vickie. She has polycythemia and has been told that she needs a bone marrow transplant to arrest the damage it is doing to her body. She is frightened.

Please pray for my marriage. My husband’s all consuming hatred of Donald Trump is driving a wedge between us. I am not a fan of Trump but I refuse to let his shenanigan’s ruin my life. It was getting better until the latest scandal and the movement forward to impeachment. As far as I am concerned if they are a politician they are by nature crooked. I don’t really trust any of them. He seems to be incredulous that I am not consumed by hatred of Trump.

We all have our own little paths to walk with the common goal of glorifying God. Amazing that He takes time for us. Or does God take time? Anyway. Rough day yesterday. Wisdom on hw to handle today.

Praying.
Kim, not sure much will change with him unless he quits watching CNN all day. All that commentary and news is not healthy no matter which channel. Praying you will be able to keep your thoughts and actions as God desires. Little miss can be a good distraction to all that news, hopefully.

Our previous pastor (who is in his 40s) has had ongoing health challenges this year, and so has his wife, pretty serious ones for both. (No cancer diagnosis or anything like that, but issues that cause a lot of pain. In his instance, up to now, it has been his back.) My husband was chair of the pulpit committee that called him as pastor, and one of the elders in that church, and he sees this pastor as a brother and friend.
He is now in the hospital, with pleurisy and pneumonia, and this is the latest update:
Tony had a rough night with no sleep and nearly constant battles with pain. This morning he had an ultra-sound examination and another CT scan after which the doctors removed 450 ml of fluid off of his right lung. The fluid is continuing to build up however and it may be necessary to insert a drainage tube if it cannot be stopped.
Loss of sleep and constant pain is causing a rapid heart rate and anxiety for which the doctors have added some tranquilizers to his medications. The doctors are working hard to determine what kind of infection is causing these problems so as to know which antibiotics to prescribe.

Please pray for Boy’s Gramma (X’s mom). At one point, a few years ago, she considered herself an atheist (as is her husband, with the tattoo to prove it), but over the past couple years she has moved into believing in some kind of “spirituality”. I think I may have mentioned that she has sometimes “liked” my Christian-themed posts on Facebook, some of which really surprised me that she would “like”.
Yesterday I shared a post from my church, about a clothing give-away we are having on Saturday. She posted a message on my timeline, saying that that is very thoughtful.
Anyway, I don’t know what is going on in her heart, but please pray that the Holy Spirit will draw her to Jesus. And the same for her husband, Boy’s Grampa. (As well as for X.) Thank you.

Prayers for all above.
Several weeks ago I requested prayer for a piano student’s grandfather, who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The student’s grandpa has now died. Please pray for their comfort, Christians all. Thanks.
