Anyone have something to share?
1 I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him.
4 Blessed is the one
who trusts in the Lord,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods.
5 Many, Lord my God,
are the wonders you have done,
the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you;
were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
they would be too many to declare.
6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire—
but my ears you have opened—
burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.
7 Then I said, “Here I am, I have come—
it is written about me in the scroll.
8 I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart.”
9 I proclaim your saving acts in the great assembly;
I do not seal my lips, Lord,
as you know.
10 I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help.
I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness
from the great assembly.
11 Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me.
12 For troubles without number surround me;
my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.
They are more than the hairs of my head,
and my heart fails within me.
13 Be pleased to save me, Lord;
come quickly, Lord, to help me.
Heavenly Father,
I lift up Jo and her community of believers there in PING. Please make a safe situation for them all no matter what the political and military climate of the territory dictates. Please hide them away under Your wings of safety. Please keep them informed and with open communications. May they all remain strong in their faith so anxiety over the unknown does not become an affliction. Please help Jo to focus on her teaching and sharing of You and the beautiful world You created and the peace of Jesus that flows through us and is greater than we can understand. Please give them joy that transcends any potential sadness. In Jesus, Amen

Prayers for Mumsee and daughter.
I’m reluctant to make a diagnosis from such a distance and so little input. But this, from what little I know, sounds more like a spiritual than a mental problem.
Only God can fix that.
My prayers, Mumsee.

Amen, Chas She and I had a good Bible study on 1st John the night before. It is like something is clinging to her, trying to drag her into the pit, while SomeOne continues to hold her in the Palm of His Hand.

Though we are seeing more frequency, the times seem a bit less intense.

Mumsee, have you heard anything more about your pastor who seemed to be having trouble yesterday?

Nope, still praying for him, though. His daughter and son in law and grandchildren have been visiting for the past couple of months, from Alaska. They head back up this week. Depending, I suppose.

Second In-law just lost his job today. Pray for a better job (better paying, more job security) to take its place, and for provision for them, and us. Right now, I am the only one with a job in the household.

After court, Nightingale went to her best friend’s house to “decompress”, as she put it, so I only have a couple brief texts to go on. She and I will hopefully get a chance to talk later.
All I know is that the summer schedule – the one in effect from June, not the one they hashed out in August – is still in effect. Of course, part of that time (Mondays and Fridays) is cut off with Boy in school, so X gets him for three and a half more hours on Saturdays.
There is also the possibility of a guardian ad litem being assigned to look out for Boy’s best interests. (I don’t know why. Maybe Nightingale and X have reached an impasse?) Nightingale is hoping that if that happens, that attorney will understand the situation and advocate for Boy’s true best interests.

Thank you for your prayers.

The problem was that X would not agree to the agreement they agreed to last time, and Nightingale does not want to budge on it. In fact, she thought it had gone too far in giving X a full weekend every other weekend.
A father having his son for every other weekend sounds like a reasonable thing, but we know, from things Boy has said, that X doesn’t really take good care of him when he spends the night, so two nights and days in a row is not a good idea. I think, though, that eventually she will have to accept that that’s what’s going to happen.
Remember I mentioned that X had not taken him to Friday night practice two Fridays in a row? Nightingale says that so far, he has missed four of seven Friday night practices. When that was brought up today, X said that he doesn’t think that making it to practices is as important as making it to the games. As a result of Boy missing this past Friday’s practice, he did not get to be in the Saturday game very much, because he missed some important things the coach was teaching them. 😦

It is so discouraging that the man who should be teaching Boy how to be a man goes through life doing the least he can, cutting corners, taking the easy route, etc.

Generally around here, if you don’t make ten practices before the game, you don’t play.
But don’t think the boy’s dad is the only one like that and don’t believe the boy if he says dad is not taking care of him. May or may not be accurate but it is a child behavior to say what they innately believe the on site parent wants to hear. They just want to be loved and think if they say the right things (even if it is wrong) the parent they are currently with will love them more.

Yes, I was going to say if practices are missed he’ll be benched or cut from the team. Practices are hugely important for a lot of good reasons.
