Interesting noises in the night. No solid idea what it was but they did harvest the fields around us so it may have been deer calling their young or the young calling their moms.
Mumsee, I didn’t think about the salt water when I went to bed. Getting her to bed is project enough. And I have a problem getting her to drink. Seems she has an aversion to liquid intake.
Logistics make it unlikely that I can make a doctor’s appointment before Wednesday.
I’ve been using the urgent care clinic near me rather than trying to get in to see my regular GP. It can be much faster for quick checks on things like persistent coughs etc., but can also involve wait times (but then so do most doctors’ offices).
🙂 Grandson passed his major test in the Marines. He will have a few weeks at home and then will be off to Okinawa. While I am thinking of it: please pray for good Christian companions for him and for safety for his mom on the 13 hour drive to pick him up and their drive back.
🙂 We will have my granddaughter over for the week. By the time we pick her up and drop her off (meeting half way) we really only have 3 days. Then two of those my husband has music jams. That really limits us, but we will still have fun.
😦 I will miss the wonderful conversations and connections I’ve made with the summer camp staff. They are truly amazing young people. One is being baptized right now in the lake at camp. 🙂 She heads off back to university in a week.
🙂 Had a great talk yesterday with a young man who, several years ago as a young teen, decided at camp that he had to make his faith his own (parents believe but didn’t really teach their kids). He chose a church within walking distance of his home so that he would need to be the one making the decision to attend church. His family eventually followed him into the church. I’ve listened to him talking to his one-on-one about creation and evolution – what a wise young man.
🙂 Happily I can stay connected to their lives with FaceBook
🙂 I am so blessed to be able to know and love these young people.
I woke up hacking and coughing,
But I slept all night.
I feel like an 89 year old man.
