  3. Yes, Banning Abortion Reduces Abortion Rates

“Let’s not kid ourselves. Abortion restrictions work. They have large, rapid effects and save tens of thousands of lives from the cruelty of murder in the womb.”

“Does banning abortion actually reduce abortions? The answer seems obvious. Of course it does. But an undercurrent of left-leaning argument suggests otherwise, that banning abortions won’t reduce abortions, or at least not very much.

The argument comes up a lot; it lurks in the background anytime a progressive says something like, “If you were really pro-life, you would support more welfare for families.” The implicit argument here is that banning abortion won’t save lives but that supporting progressive priorities will, or at least that progressive policies will save more lives.”

“For completeness’ sake, to the extent possible we’ll try to account for changes in stillbirth, miscarriage, or cross-border abortions, to really see the effect of abortion laws. I include miscarriages and stillbirths because it is possible, and many progressives claim, that abortions often affect children who would have died in the womb anyways. To the extent that increased abortions are offset by reduced stillbirths or miscarriages, abortion supporters would have a point. So wherever data can be found on those other forms of fetal death, I include it.”

Bottom line, abortion restrictions work. Even in 3rd world countries where women are sometimes jailed for it. Sure it’s sad that some women (maybe a dozen by news accounts) were jailed by overzealous prosecutors, but that doesn’t change the fact that hundreds of others are saved every day by these laws. You tell me what’s worse, a dozen women jailed over a 2 year period, or thousands of lives snuffed out forever in that same 2 years?

That’s not even a hard question. While these laws aren’t perfect, they’re better than allowing the genocide to continue unabated.

  4. Looking out for US interests and intellectual property.

“President Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order in a prescient move to defend America’s national security against Chinese cyber espionage. Invoking his powers under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the president gave the Commerce Department 150 days to devise methods of implementing new rules for American companies that wish to trade with “foreign adversaries” designated as an “unacceptable risk” to U.S. national security.

While not specifically named in the president’s order, the Communist Chinese telecommunications company, Huawei, and some 70 affiliates are expected to be on the Commerce Department’s risk list.

The Trump Administration earlier precluded the U.S. government and its contractors from using Huawei products, for a host of reasons. The Justice Department has issued criminal charges against a top Huawei executive, the company, and several of its many subsidiaries for stealing trade secrets, as well as misleading banks in order to violate U.S. sanctions on Iran. The government further alleges that Huawei stole trade secrets from U.S. companies and competitors. Overall, Huawei is widely believed to engage economic espionage.

No wonder that in 2012, the House Intelligence Committee reported that Huawei and ZTE (China’s second-largest telecommunications company) facilitate the regime’s cyberespionage and should be banned from partnering and trading with American companies.

Given this congressional history, in a rare instance of bipartisanship in Washington, Democrats such as U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) have hailed the president’s executive order as “a needed step,” due to the law in Communist China that mandates such companies must “act as an agent of the state.”

Critically, this cyber espionage threat stems from the potential of “backdoor” technologies being implanted in Huawei products and, hence, being used as a tool of intelligence gathering and cyberware by the Chinese; and it has spurred the United States to urge its allies to not partner with Huawei in developing their 5G infrastructures.”

  5. Yeah…..

  6. I couldn’t open the 6:57, but the world should know that when you have Islam in the culture, it has to be dominant. Other religions are suppressed.
    Look at the history.
Look at what they do, not what they say.
Islam allows it’s followers to be devious in advancing the cause.
Islam does not live peacefully with other religions, especially atheism, which< I perceive, is the religion of Europe now.

  7. Re: Trump’s rally last night.
One thing he knows, every one of those people are going to vote for him.
The next election will be about Trump, nothing else.
Those voting for Trump will be out voting for Trump.
Those voting for Biden or someone else, will be voting against Trump.

  8. When you step back and try to look at it objectively, isn’t it amazing that women are marching, screaming, and protesting over the right to KILL THEIR BABIES?

  9. Linda, et. al.
It doesn’t have to do with abortion, nor marijuana or what is shown on TV.

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.”

It has to do with degradation of culture. When that is settled, it will be/is something else.
    I’ve said before, many times.
We don’t need an evangelist now, we need a prophet.

“Emanuel K. Samson, the black man suspected in a 2017 mass shooting at an Antioch church, went there “with the intent to murder a minimum of 10 white churchgoers,” a prosecutor said Monday.

During opening statements in the trial against Samson, Deputy District Attorney Amy Hunter said he left a note on the dashboard of his vehicle explaining his plans to retaliate for a 2015 church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, when white supremacist Dylann Roof killed nine black worshipers.

The note said “Dylann Roof is less than nothing,” and referenced “the blood that 10 of your kind will shed … in terms of vengeance,” according to portions Hunter read out loud in court.

Police had previously described the note in vague terms, but hadn’t said if it explained a potential motive for the mass shooting at the Antioch church.

Police say Samson fatally shot Melanie Crow as she was walking through the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ parking lot after Sunday service on Sept. 24, 2017, and then shot and injured several others. He was indicted on 43 counts, including first-degree murder, aggravated assault and civil rights intimidation. “

  12. I sent in my letter to the editor. This week at church, the pastor spoke about our need to not only do the right thing but to speak against evil. I had been working on my letter for a couple of weeks, dawdling. If interested:

Isn’t technology wonderful? We have cameras set up to watch eagles on their nests as people wait to see the baby eagles hatch out. And that is what happens, if the eggs hatch in thirty five days, a baby eagle emerges. Just like that. Amazing!

A baby joey, pink, hairless, eyes closed, and the size of a jelly bean, at about thirty four days, climbs up the saliva trail laid out by its mom to its mother’s pouch where it hangs onto a teat until big enough to hop out and begin foraging. Amazing! Little tiny kangaroos!

And so we come to humans. Conceived, baby already has all the DNA for all of its genetic makeup. The eye color, hair color, gender, other physical traits are already determined. At five weeks from conception, baby’s brain is developing and the spinal cord and nostrils and retinas. Nine weeks from conception, complete with beating heart and organs in place, baby is fast getting ready at two inches from crown to rump and ⅓ of an ounce, much larger than that jelly bean joey making the trip to the pouch!

All this time, baby has been just that: a human baby. Not a growth, a zebra, or a tree. Just a human baby conceived by two humans who chose (usually) to be intimate. That freedom to choose? That choice was made months earlier. Now the baby needs to be allowed his or her freedom of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

“Democrats fume as McGahn skips House hearing: ‘Our subpoenas are not optional’”

And they’re not valid either, having no legislative purpose other than to use the House as a political weapon. Sorry, fish elsewhere.
