  1. And these are the pervs who run our country.

Name names, no matter which party it is. Voters will deal with them. Well, unless they’re from Va. and then it just goes poof, disappeared.

“Members of Congress allegedly sexually harassed night shift custodial staff as they cleaned their offices, according to a recent inspector general’s report on sexual harassment within the Architect of the Capitol.

The IG report, first reported by Roll Call, examines the Architect of the Capitol’s (AOC) response to sexual harassment complaints over the last 10 years. It includes allegations that workers endured sexual harassment by members of Congress and their staff,

“Staff have reported overhearing harassing conversations, being the target of harassment, and observing materials such as pornography, but do not speak up due to fear of losing their jobs,” the report says.

It found 57 incidents of sexual harassment reported since 2008, 44 percent of which it says were substantiated. The report notes that it is a relatively low number, but the perception remains that harassment is a problem.

The IG said that it found “reluctance to cooperate” with the inquiry from AOC, and cited it as evidence of “cultural resistance and lack of transparency at all levels.” It blasted an “outdated cultural attitude” in some departments, which it said has set a tone of “permissibility.”

  2. Pervs….. and frauds like AOC.

Trump called Omar on her lies.

AOC chimes in with her defense.

  5. The ignorance of people elected to supposedly serve us never ceases to amaze me. That we pay these people as much as we do never ceases to irritate me. Oh, for God to give us good, wise statesmen and women and a wise enough electorate to vote for them!

  6. Omar like most politicians tailored her speech to her audience. Most Muslims refuse to acknowledge the 9/11 terrorists as Muslim. To a Muslim, this would give the hijackers more dignity than they deserve. Personally i think its a stupid position but Omar is mindful of her audience.

Her life has in fact been credibly been threaten several times. A day prior to Trump’s tweet, a man was arrested for planning to kill Omar. Trump was throwing gasoline on the fire. Thus in context, AOC’s tweet makes sense.

  7. I agree with Kathy at 10:09. She had to know what she was doing. Muslims will not say it in the West, but they believe that the hijackers were doing the will of Allah.

  8. Oh please HRW,

She’s earned the scorn and ridicule. And one or two threats is nothing compared to what your side does, so save the faux outrage. And she, unlike this guy, can’t just get taxpayer funded security either.

  9. And Dems of course rarely speak up against traitorous frauds like her. Even when some do, it’s never the leadership or the front runners, just the disposable members you never heard of, or those in re-election fights in red areas. They simply circle the wagons and defend the indefensible.

    https://freebeacon.com/politics/2020-democrats-rush-to-the-defense-of-omar-after-9-11-comment/

“After the video went viral, Republicans and some Democrats in Congress voiced their disgust at the comment. Trump tweeted out a video of Omar’s comments followed by footage of the airplanes flying into the Twin Towers and then the towers collapsing, sparking outrage from Democrats who believed criticism of Omar’s comment was “inciting violence” against her.

Several 2020 Democrats, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), Amy Klobuchar (Minn.), South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Gov. Jay Inslee (Wash.), and former Gov. John Hickenlooper (Colo.) have slammed Trump for his tweet.

“The President is inciting violence against a sitting Congresswoman—and an entire group of Americans based on their religion,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) tweeted. “It’s disgusting. It’s shameful. And any elected leader who refuses to condemn it shares responsibility for it.”

Yeah, can’t have him pointing out the ugly truth about Omar, Talib, their handlers at CAIR, and Islam, now can we?

  10. The left has issues with the truth, so they try to stifle it.

Here’s yet another example of it, and their failure to stifle it too. 🙂

They fear truth, because of what it does to their agenda.

    No thanks.

And the full video of her complete remarks is available at the link. Listen for yourself.

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2019/04/wapo-rushes-to-defend-ilhan-omars-9-11-remarks-fails-spectacularly/

“It’s like clockwork. When a prominent Democrat lands themselves in hot water, the Washington Post oftentimes publishes puff pieces or fact checks defending them.

They did it with Virginia House Delegate Kathy Tran over her infanticide bill and with Gov. Ralph Northam’s defense of it. Now they’re doing it with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN-5), who recently noted that 9/11 was perpetrated when “some people did something.”

A video surfaced this week of Omar speaking at a CAIR banquet in California in late March. During the speech, she said this about the 9/11 terrorist attacks (bolded emphasis added):

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

First things first: CAIR was not “founded after 9/11.” They were founded in 1994. Secondly, radical Islamists carrying out the horrific attacks that killed almost 3,000 innocent people are a lot more than just “some people [who] did something.””

    —————

“Her defenders said she was taken out of context, but she wasn’t. Here’s the transcript of the relevant portion of her speech:

Several minutes before she made her comments about the 9/11 attacks being about “some people [who] did something”, she described the New Zealand mosque attacks as a “tragic, tragic nightmare.” So one was a tragic nightmare, while the other was just “some people” doing “something”?”

Once again, the media and Democrats all using the same talking points. It’s getting old.

  12. “what aboutisms” is not an excuse nor a logical argument. There are idiots everywhere on the political spectrum. Violent threats elsewhere do not negate violent threats addressed to Omar. Trump tweeted a day after an arrest of an individual who proclaimed he wanted to kill Omar in support of Trump. This is at the very least ignorant and possibly inflammatory.

Interesting aside Omar cosponsored a bill for 9/11 victim compensation which Republicans voted against. I’m sure there’s more to the story but it is interesting.

The context of her remarks is now ironic. She was telling the audience not to give up when attacked for your religion and principals….and she was promptly attacked.

  13. I have difficulty believing 100 people quit their job not because of seeing 100s of ultra sounds but because they saw a film. If they went to work in an abortion facility despite the knowledge surrounding fetal growth I doubt a film would change their mind.

My guess is 100 people contacted And Then There Were None since the film was released and he’s taking all the credit.

I watched a trailer of the film and given the quality of the script, acting etc I can’t imagine anyone but the pro life community watching it. The film preaches to the choir. Not necessarily a bad thing; the religious community is grossly underserved and there’s a market waiting to be filled, however its not an outreach film.

Abortions are at their lowest rate since Roe vs Wade. Its not unusual to encounter people who are both pro life and pro choice. Women who would never have an abortion but are absolutely against the govt regulating their bodies esp since most legislators are male.

Interestingly you don’t need to use power of the gov’t to lower abortion rates. Canada has no abortion regulations other than those which apply to all medical procedures and abortions are free yet they mirror the same trends as the US. In fact the rate is even lower. Pro life won the moral argument but they risk shooting themselves in the foot with an insistence on brute force. Education, birth control, etc are far more effective.
