Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 43
1 Vindicate me, my God,
and plead my cause
against an unfaithful nation.
Rescue me from those who are
deceitful and wicked.
2 You are God my stronghold.
Why have you rejected me?
Why must I go about mourning,
oppressed by the enemy?
3 Send me your light and your faithful care,
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
Had a nice end to the term. Friday went especially well – we had fifteen minutes left and God gave me the idea to put on a video, Planet Earth, since the class had just finished cleaning their desks and the centres.
Prayers appreciated for parent teacher conferences on Monday and Tuesday. I have concerns about two of my students and need wisdom on how and what to say.

Please pray for my mother in law Elsita. She has an aggressive cancer and they are getting her ready for surgery to remove it. Pray that God will provide the money, since the national health care In Ecuador does not cover this type of stuff and the bill must be paid at the time of service, no credit cards.

BG has been opening up more and sharing some of the things that happened to her in high school after she went to live with her dad. He isn’t the cause of any of it except for being clueless and trusting her. There were some things that happened that she is just now dealing with. No wonder she was so angry and defiant. She is happier now and more pleasant than I have seen her since she was in 7th grade.

So glad you have been able to talk with her about it, Kim.

Yapamom, is there an agency to help fund the expense? Or does a church help her? It sounds terrible to have to worry about the finances on top of the surgery. Are you able to determine how much it will cost in American dollars? Some people raise money with crowd funding. Is that a possibility?

Kim, that is great that lines of communication are reopening.

Janice, Ecuador has been using US currency since 2000 when I got married, so we do know exactly what it comes down to. I don’t think that crowd funding is really successful in Ecuador and my husband is her only close family member in the States. Her family is large and several should be in a position to give, but there are other members of the family who are unemployed or underemployed. I am praying for wisdom for me personally since I have already helped with some medical expenses to get her to this point and I do not have the resources to help more unless God sends it to me.

yapamom, are you able to provide an address so people can help? Perhaps an email to somebody on here, with whom you are willing to share and who is willing to put their email on here and they can make the address available to others? Little bits might help.
