Prayer Requests 1-26-19

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 148

Praise the Lord.

   Praise the Lord from the heavens;
    praise him in the heights above.
Praise him, all his angels;
    praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
Praise him, sun and moon;
    praise him, all you shining stars.
Praise him, you highest heavens
    and you waters above the skies.

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for at his command they were created,
and he established them for ever and ever—
    he issued a decree that will never pass away.

Praise the Lord from the earth,
    you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
    stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and all hills,
    fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals and all cattle,
    small creatures and flying birds,
11 kings of the earth and all nations,
    you princes and all rulers on earth,
12 young men and women,
    old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for his name alone is exalted;
    his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
14 And he has raised up for his people a horn,
    the praise of all his faithful servants,
    of Israel, the people close to his heart.

   Praise the Lord.

  1. I’d appreciate more prayers today. If you saw my late-night prayer request on yesterday’s prayer thread and prayed, thank you. I threw up minutes after posting that, and then felt quite a bit better and slept reasonably well. Today the sore throat, headache, nausea and chills are gone, but I’m having a hard time breathing when standing upright. I’m congested today (last night I felt like I was drowning in watery mucus — it poured out of my nose like water from a tap when I leaned over to throw up), and my chest feels tight this morning, especially when standing up. Last night it hurt while lying in bed (before the vomiting episode), and I wondered whether I was in the beginning stages of a heart attack. I didn’t want to take a 30-minute ride to the ER in sub-zero temperatures, only to be told it’s just a virus, so I just suffered it out in bed, crying and praying and moaning and shaking, thinking that if this was how God was going to free my from this world and its pain, then that’s how I would go.

    I hope I don’t sound like a drama queen. Sometimes I just want the stress to be done. Pray as you feel led. Thank you.

  2. Wow, daughter just said she does not think she will become a witch. Instead, she is going to worship her Creator and follow His plan. Because He loves her.

  3. Hi y’all. This is Ann. My mom fell last night and broke her right hip (she broke left hip about two years ago ). She’s having surgery today. She has advanced vascular disease and is a high risk surgical patient. Please pray God’s will be done. She’s been suffering for a long time.

  4. Please pray for me & Tim. His spine is still leaking fluid (causing very painful headache) and it seems one of his incisions is warmer and slightly more swollen than it was a couple of days ago. We’ve had about 4″ of snow over night and some freezing rain and it’s supposed to get quite windy here later in the day (gusts to 55mph). We just don’t know if we should head in to see a doctor or just stay put. Tim really doesn’t want to go and ‘waste’ another whole day with nobody doing anything and I don’t want to drive in these conditions. It’s an hour drive each way in good conditions. Thanks.

    Praying for above, as always.

  7. Heavenly Father, I lift up the overwhelming needs for Karen and Tim. I am crying out to You to help them in this almost unbearable scenario. Please give them evidence that You are working things out for their benefit, to get relief and full heaing for Tim. If they must drive, Lord, give them safety. Please, again, I call out to You in tears over their predicament. In You we place our hope and trust. I pray in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen

  8. Heavenly Father, please help Ann and her family through this time of recovery for Ann’s mom. I ask that she recieve excellent care and that all the meds work in her favor for a good outcome. Thank You for Your blessings in the past related to the previous break. Please help Ann’s mother to grow closer to You during this time. I ask that a good rehab center can be found at just the right time. Please give everyone wisdom and patience as decisions can sometimes cause conflicts. Please bless them all in unexpected ways throughout this ordeal. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  9. Lord, I lift up those here who are struggling through parenthood issues. They all have vastly different problems, but at least one concern in common. The overriding concern is for a true relationship with Jesus for each of the young who are struggling. Please do not tarry on their salvation, Lord. I pray that they are to be included in Youf flock who follow Jesus. Please pull them into the sheepfold so they no longer wander in the wilderness. I ask that the parents’ dismay, anxiety, guilt, shame, anger, disappointment, frustration, worry, stress, and other negative emotions be bundled up and given over to Jesus because He already made arrangements to take it all on many years ago. Please give these parents peace to pass understanding as they rest in Jesus. Lord, I am not naming names for You know who needs this prayer today. Please let these wayward children/young adults become beacons of light for Jesus among their peers. You are able, Lord, so I request what seems impossible. I feel certain that others are joining in this prayer so two or three or more are gathered in prayer asking in Your will and in Jesus’ name that this intercession can finally make a difference. And if not this intercession, then the next . . . In Youf timing and Your will and ways, always. Amen

  10. Ann again.
    Thanks for your prayers.
    My mom has advanced vascular disease and has been denied surgery for other problems (gallstones/knee replacement) because risk of bleeding out is too big…so doctors have said surgery, though required, is very risky.

  12. Father God, please help Ann’s family through this seriously life threatening surgery. I know they have some great prayer warriors in her family. Please give the best possible outcome with acceptance that You know best. May Your will be done and may You be glorified for any miracles that are needed during surgery. All are trusting in You on this day. Please make repair super swift and help the bleeding to halt if possible like You held back the Red Sea. Please if it be Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen
