Prayer Requests 10-25-18

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 80

Hear us, Shepherd of Israel,
   you who lead Joseph like a flock.
   You who sit enthroned between the cherubim,
   shine forth before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh.
   Awaken your might;
    come and save us.

Restore us, O God;
    make your face shine on us,
    that we may be saved.

How long, Lord God Almighty,
    will your anger smolder
    against the prayers of your people?
You have fed them with the bread of tears;
    you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors,
    and our enemies mock us.

Restore us, God Almighty;
    make your face shine on us,
    that we may be saved.

You transplanted a vine from Egypt;
    you drove out the nations and planted it.
You cleared the ground for it,
    and it took root and filled the land.
10 The mountains were covered with its shade,
    the mighty cedars with its branches.
11 Its branches reached as far as the Sea,
    its shoots as far as the River.

12 Why have you broken down its walls
    so that all who pass by pick its grapes?
13 Boars from the forest ravage it,
    and insects from the fields feed on it.
14 Return to us, God Almighty!
    Look down from heaven and see!
   Watch over this vine,
15 the root your right hand has planted,
    the son you have raised up for yourself.

16 Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire;
    at your rebuke your people perish.
17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand,
    the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
18 Then we will not turn away from you;
    revive us, and we will call on your name.

19 Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
    make your face shine on us,
    that we may be saved.

  1. I am so grateful for the body of believers! Daughter insisted she wanted to call the sheriff and report that I was trying to kill/hurt her. So I took her to the sheriff dept so she could fill out the forms and told them she had been threatening both to kill us and herself so then it became a legal thing and I had to take her to Lewiston ER for a psych evaluation. This was in the late afternoon and I rarely drive and don’t drive at night. So I pulled out my phone and called a couple of folk from church. One man was able to take the other seventeen year old over night and another was able to drive us to Lewiston, stay with eleven year old until we finished the three hour visit, and then fed the children and drove us home.

    Daughter is on seventy two hour suicide watch here at the house and her psychiatrist called yesterday and moved her appointment from Friday to today so daughter has the morning free and then OUI, counseling, and her psychiatrist. Hopefully, the meds will be adjusted and she will be back to her cheery hopeful self and won’t be seeing anymore dead children lying on the hallway floor.

  2. Does my life seem unusual, or even odd, to you? It seems normal to me but maybe not everybody lives like this. We don’t actually have dead children lying on the hallway floors, by the way.

  3. Prayers for you Mumsee. We had 2 psychs in the ED last night.

    I have prayer request for my FIL. He is 86 and fell in the garage last night. He has a serious brain bleed and has broken the dens off on C2. He is responsive and recognizes us. The neurosurgeon says bleed so deep, would not be productive to operate. Thank you for your prayers.
