Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 75
1 We praise you, God,
we praise you, for your Name is near;
people tell of your wonderful deeds.
2 You say, “I choose the appointed time;
it is I who judge with equity.
3 When the earth and all its people quake,
it is I who hold its pillars firm.
4 To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’
and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.
5 Do not lift your horns against heaven;
do not speak so defiantly.’”
6 No one from the east or the west
or from the desert can exalt themselves.
7 It is God who judges:
He brings one down, he exalts another.
8 In the hand of the Lord is a cup
full of foaming wine mixed with spices;
he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth
drink it down to its very dregs.
9 As for me, I will declare this forever;
I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
10 who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked,
but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”
I am still very much drained. What I am finding is that it is coming out sad/angry.
What do I do to fill my tank back up and love myself?

Kim, you can be thankful that you are not in that crowd headed through Mexico.
You could be thankful that you are not one of those women dressed in a brusque in Arabia.
bottom line:
Sometimes I get that way. I am now. I keep praying “Lord, I’m ready to go. But she needs me.” That, if you think about it, is the only reason I have for being here..
No. the only one.
But I have been immensely blessed through the years and I suspect you have too.
You are loved:
The Lord loves you.
BG, regardless of what you think, loves you.
And we love you.
Be thankful

Well, Kim could have picked up those barrel chairs for me in Mexico, just sayin’
Prayers, sister. Discouragement and weariness and overall frustration, all so hard, I’ve been struggling with it myself.

Kim – I think it is a myth or misconception that the people in our lives can truly fill our love tanks. Oh, they do add greatly to it, and can make a huge difference in our lives. But they will always disappoint us at some time or other, sometimes more often than not. And it does hurt like you-know-what when they don’t seem to return our love, affection, and appreciation, or when we feel that we are being taken advantage of.
In my case, I asked God to draw me closer to Himself, kind of throwing myself into His loving arms, and I have found Him faithful.
Even when Hubby was alive, there were times when he was distant and difficult. Surrendering him, and myself, to Father God gave me a measure of peace, and then God moved in my husband’s life (as well as mine), in a wonderful way. (This is not a formula. I am just telling you how God worked in my own life. Your mileage may vary.)

Please pray for my best friend’s mom (friend: K; mom: V). V is moving out of her assisted living facility this week to a place where a higher level of care is given. V has vascular dementia and needs more specialized care. Prayers for her adjustment to the new facility are appreciated.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll say it again: I have concerns about K along those same lines. Without going into lots of detail (which I just did, then erased it), I’d like to ask you to pray for her, too. She had another mildly-alarming (to me, and maybe embarrassing to her) memory slip today that seems different than garden-variety forgetfulness. I am concerned about her brain health — that she might be experiencing some early-onset dementia, or may be having problems related to the brain tumor she had in her twenties. (Or maybe a new one starting?) Her sister has also had a brain tumor, of the same type, so there may be a hereditary connection.
Please pray for my friend K and for her mom as they navigate V’s transition to the new care facility. Thanks.

Any word on Dylan?

Six, do not be surprised or offended by anything she says.
Elvera never cursed. She didn’t even say, “heck, darn, gosh, golly, gee,” or any other by-word. Her yea was yea and her nay, nay.
But occasionally, she lets out one that I ignore.
Let it be.

Dylan was located yesterday and is safe. Praying that he will take the help that his foster parents want to give. Thanks for asking, Mumsee.

Chas, that’s excellent advice, and the loving thing to do — to simply ignore it. That’s treating one’s loved one with respect and dignity, to avoid admonishing the dementia sufferer when it’s the disease that’s doing the talking.
Many times when K speaks of her mom — and she does so lovingly — I think of you and the wonderful example of love you demonstrate to Elvera. Thank you, Chas, for your wisdom and enduring love. We are blessed to know you, and you and Elvera are in my prayers more than you know.

Thanks for your prayers for K and V, Mumsee and all who are praying.
Kare, glad to hear Dylan is found. There is a missing 13-year-old in the upper Midwest whom I’ve been hearing about, and whenever I’d hear a new report, I would pray for Dylan to be found, too.
The 13-year-old has not been found yet. She had disappeared by the time authorities had come to her home and found her parents shot dead. She’s not a suspect in their deaths, but law enforcement believe she is still alive, and in danger. Prayers are much needed.

Glad to hear, Dylan has been found. Praying for all. So much hurt in the world and so much God waiting to heal.
Continuing to pray for Jayme, Six. We had a couple of children kidnapped after the killing of their family up in norhern Idaho several years ago. Though the boy was killed after some weeks, the girl was recovered when she was recognized at a gas station. There is hope.

I’ve been praying for Jayme since seeing her story, and have shared something on Facebook. That poor girl. 😦

Another news story that broke my heart: Did you all hear about the limousine crash in upstate New York (sometime in the last couple weeks, I think) that killed 20 people? Among the dead were four sisters, three of whom were married, and the husbands were killed, too. I think there was another married couple also killed. These couples left behind several children. My heart aches for those children who have lost both mother and father, as well as aunts and uncles, and for the parents who lost their four daughters – I don’t know if they had any sons – and also the loved ones of the others that were killed in the crash.

I saw the headline, Kizzie, but never read the story. How sad.
