Prayer Requests 10-2-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 54

Save me, O God, by your name;
    vindicate me by your might.
Hear my prayer, O God;
    listen to the words of my mouth.

Arrogant foes are attacking me;
    ruthless people are trying to kill me—
    people without regard for God.

Surely God is my help;
    the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
    in your faithfulness destroy them.

I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
    I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.
You have delivered me from all my troubles,
    and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

  1. I am on edge. I feel I live my life in a constant state of waiting for the other shoe to drop. I can’t be totally “in the moment” for fear that it will end. As you may or may not have guessed this is centered on my job. I keep trying to relax and enjoy it but then I think the rug has been pulled too many times and I need to be prepared.
    I am tired of my life being this way.

  2. No one can change that circumstances might change or guarantee your job, Kim, as you well know. The only thing that will give you peace is taking your thoughts captive. Having the scripture (you find meaningful and appropriate for the situation) at the fingertips of your mind and bring it all to the Lord, ASAP each time will help. Also, I hope it helps to know there are many praying for you.

  3. Lifting you up today Miss Kim. When those times hit me, that is when I try to analyze my feelings. Thinking it is due to this or that happening in my life so many years ago and realizing that is the cause of my thoughts….and then continuing to ask our Lord to heal that place in my heart…He knows the depths of our wounds and I am convinced it is in His arms we can find rest…. You are continually prayed for by all of us….’cause we love you…. 💕

  4. Thank you for all your prayers.

    Nightingale and I picked up Chickadee and went to lunch at TGIFridays. It was a nice time being with my beloved daughters. Hubby would be pleased to know his three girls were together for a while on this day.

    Nightingale and I were talking over coffee this morning, and she mentioned having talked to The Boy about what his beliefs are. Of course, they are mixed up. (He asked if the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus are kind of like gods.)

    She has decided that she should start establishing a belief system with him. But her thought is to attend the Unitarian Universalist church that is in a town not too far away up in Massachusetts. 😦

    That disappoints and saddens me, but it may be a good sign that she is even thinking of this. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to move in her heart, and lead her to Jesus. (And the same for The Boy and Chickadee.) Thank you.

  5. She’ll probably find the Unitarians primarily a political organization these days. And unless she’s pretty far left and that’s enough “spirituality” for her, she’ll probably be hopping around a while if she is serious about finding a church. Praying …
