Prayer Requests 6-26-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 119:121-128

ע Ayin

121 I have done what is righteous and just;
    do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Ensure your servant’s well-being;
    do not let the arrogant oppress me.
123 My eyes fail, looking for your salvation,
    looking for your righteous promise.
124 Deal with your servant according to your love
    and teach me your decrees.
125 I am your servant; give me discernment
    that I may understand your statutes.
126 It is time for you to act, Lord;
    your law is being broken.
127 Because I love your commands
    more than gold, more than pure gold,
128 and because I consider all your precepts right,
    I hate every wrong path.

  1. I’d like to request prayer for my piano student who recently graduated from high school. She and a bunch of school music students from our state are flying to Europe today for a music-performance-related trip. They’ll be there for the next 2+ weeks. Please pray for safety in travels and activities in whatever locations they’ll be. Thank you.

  2. Hillary heads back to Sicily this morning after her 6 week furlough. I’m stopping by in an hour or so to give her a hug, cry a bit and send her on her way. We’re so thankful we got to spend four relaxing days with her in Berlin. We saw her fairly often in California anyway, but had a much deeper visit wandering through museums and eating schnitzel together in Germany. 🙂

  3. Kizzie, I read what you wrote yesterday. You are in my heart and my prayers. I have a lot of thoughts concerning you, Nightingale and Chickadee; but think for now I should keep them to myself. Know that I have your best interests at heart.

  4. The Lord presented a sweet moment late last night and into the early morning hours with my precious Hannah and me. Today she will be reading a letter written to her by her birth mother. She will also be looking over a photo album that was put together with great love and care by her birth mother. Sweeter moments have not been wrought than those of last evening. Crying upon the very thought of them. Prayers for my girl tonight as she experiences this opening of new information and real life photos of those she has known not….thank you precious family….

  5. I got misty-eyed reading your post, NancyJill. Prayers for Hannah at this big milestone.

    Praying for safe travels for Hillary, Michelle, at the same time as I’m praying for my student on her trek. i’m always amazed at all the air travel that goes on around me!

    Here is an update on a previous request I made on my student’s behalf. (Her first initial is N, if that’s important to you pray-ers.) 🙂

    I mentioned some weeks ago that I needed to write a letter to the president of our state independent music teachers organization, on N’s behalf, regarding some inconsistencies in how student points were being applied. The letter was well-received and resulted in the changes I’d proposed being voted into effect, which I reported to you shortly after.

    However, there was a technological matter in retroactively applying the measure that they couldn’t guarantee would work, so I asked for prayers that that would be resolved.

    It has, and a local colleague of mine has in her possession an official recognition plaque that I can present to N for her accomplishments at the state level in 2017.

    I am so excited to be able to present her this award when she gets back from Europe! Thank you for the prayers you offered up about this matter. Everything came out exactly as I had hoped. Praise God!

  6. I am worrying about something that really isn’t in my control. It will either work out to my benefit or it won’t. I just need for Mr. P and me to have peace about it. I am terribly insecure when it comes to where I work. As you all know I have had the rug pulled from underneath me more than once.

  7. My SIL has taken a nasty fall and has bruised ribs. He was called today to come back in for an MRI when the X-rays were looked at more thoroughly. He seems to have a compression fracture on a vertebrae. Please pray for quick healing for him. He is home for the summer, but my daughter really needs his help for moving furniture and taking care of the little ones as she works.
