Prayer Requests 2-6-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 1

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
    whatever they do prospers.

Not so the wicked!
    They are like chaff
    that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

  1. My BIL had another heart attack. Please pray for him.

My niece had to shoot a man in the line of duty. She is in law enforcement and has been for years. There are horrendous comments online and threats to her life. It is a small town and I am sure her daughter and son will also be subjected to some talk. She also needs help in recovering from having to do such a thing. She really had no choice and, no doubt, saved lives as a result, including her own.

  2. Prayers for you, mumsee. I hope you can get people together to pray for this daughter. We did that with our relative. What remains is biological and chemical in nature. He has fruit for the Lord, in spite of his mental illness now. He also is able to respond to those who think it is only a spiritual issue. All avenues are good to explore. My heart goes out to you.

  3. Mr X is not happy that I will no longer be his third party contact. (He’s obviously alienated his own mother – again – so she will not do it anymore, either.) After I texted him about that (replying to a text from him) he replied that he would be picking up The Boy tomorrow and keeping him overnight, then taking him to school, and that he would also be taking him on Friday night, and Nightingale would have to find a way to get him back on Saturday.

He insisted that it is her responsibility to find a third party, but it is really his. His tone has turned back to being demanding and snarky.

Nightingale will be home from work soon. She already knows what’s going on, as I’ve been texting her. I hated to do that, but initially it sounded like he was going to get him from the bus stop today, and I don’t have any authority to stop him.

Please pray for protection for all of us.
