Prayer Requests 1-26-18

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 142

I cry aloud to the Lord;
    I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy.
I pour out before him my complaint;
    before him I tell my trouble.

When my spirit grows faint within me,
    it is you who watch over my way.
   In the path where I walk
    people have hidden a snare for me.
Look and see, there is no one at my right hand;
    no one is concerned for me.
   I have no refuge;
    no one cares for my life.

I cry to you, Lord;
    I say, “You are my refuge,
    my portion in the land of the living.”

Listen to my cry,
    for I am in desperate need;
   rescue me from those who pursue me,
    for they are too strong for me.
Set me free from my prison,
    that I may praise your name.
   Then the righteous will gather about me
    because of your goodness to me.

  1. Update on Grandbaby Andy: he’s stabilized with antibiotics, but last night they transferred him to Denver children’s hospital. They live in rural Colorado on the Utah border so the local hospital is not really equipped for children’s care. DIL is an Nurse Practitioner, BSN, RN and naturally she’s ferocious for her baby, so I hope the transfer was cautionary. Still, he’s now 4 hours from home, and they will be juggling again…. Prayers are appreciated.

  2. Nightingale has told me that she often has trouble going to sleep, with her mind “going a mile a minute”. (I’m sure many of us can relate. I have my own little method that often helps, but not always. If it is worrying about things that is causing my mind to whirl, I make myself stop and take those thoughts captive to Christ by praying about them and releasing them to Him.)

    She said she often thinks of worst-case scenarios as she thinks of all the situations in her life.

    Please pray, as I do, that as she lies awake cogitating, the Holy Spirit would minister to her, drawing her to Jesus.

    This morning, after having been exhausted yesterday from not getting enough sleep, she brightly announced that she actually had a good night’s sleep last night. I replied, “That’s great! I had prayed that you would.” 🙂 (Hoping that went to her heart.)

  3. Both girls have been supportive of me continuing to go to church. (Of course, there was really no question in my mind about it, but maybe they thought I wouldn’t bother after Hubby’s death.)

  4. Ah Kizzie, I pray she recognizes the deep love of her praying Mama….I would guess she knows you have a relationship with the Father…and that He indeed hears your prayers on her behalf. When my girl tells me of something that has happened in her life, I tell her that I have been praying…she knows me…just as Nightengale knows you….we are praying Moms. They may not embrace the Lord right now, but we continue to pray for that day ♥️
