  1. Well, it took long enough, but here’s a little bit of sanity. ;–)

The largest psychiatric organization in the world is calling for an end to “arm chair” psychiatry in light of allegations that President Trump is mentally unfit to serve.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) released a statement Tuesday reaffirming its commitment to “The Goldwater Rule,” which states that it is unethical for psychiatrists to diagnose public figures they have not personally examined.

The APA’s statement comes as Mr. Trump’s critics openly question his mental capacity for the office in light of Michael Wolff’s hotly debated tell-all book about the Trump family. Yale University psychiatry professor Dr. Bandy X. Lee, editor of “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President,” claimed to have recently met with more than a dozen Congress members to discuss Mr. Trump’s mental health.

The APA said the public speculation by psychiatrists “undermines the credibility and integrity of the profession and the physician-patient relationship.”

  2. Gee, I wonder if that article about the surplus will appear in my paper this morning?

And if there is such a surplus, why did our gas taxes have to go up? Why are our roads a mess? You can see how long MY questions would go on if true.

I’m glad one adult stood up and pointed out the obvious.

  3. I suspected those surpluses were hard bought, Michelle, as we hear so much about high taxes there. I did read that Brown was talking about using some of the surplus for roads. With all of the chaos from natural disasters you’ve had lately, I would also think there should be a good bit of federal funding to help rebuild roads and infrastructure.

  4. I just started reading a book called “Secrets of the Secret Service”. Can’t comment on the book yet, but there is a quote by Einstien at the beginning. “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them”.

    An astute observation.

“The biggest private employer in the United States, one synonymous with blue-collar America, is handing out cash to its workers and Democrats think running against the tax bill will be a slam dunk for them next year?

As of last night, according to a running list being kept by Americans for Tax Reform, more than a million employees among dozens of companies are getting bonuses inspired by tax reform. That doesn’t include Wal-Mart, which alone employs roughly one and a half million Americans. Not all of them are getting bonuses per today’s announcement, but many will. And even the lowest workers on the corporate totem pole will see a bit of extra cash.”

  6. My son was not convinced that the Republicans had no hope in November until he read what Trump said today. Language warning. It is Trump’s language.

The poor Trumpkins trying to defend him on CNN were a forlorn group. Meanwhile on Fox, Tucker Carlson was talking about UFOs.

  8. Conservative Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma released a fine statement, as did Representative Mia Love.

Most other Republicans are just trying to disappear off the face of the earth.

  9. Yawn.

Sorry, I seem to be fresh out of outrage for the day. 🙄

And what’s worse, calling their countries crap holes, which, well, some of them kinda are……..

Or stealing the money that was supposed to make them less crappy and reduce their need to come here, for your own personal gain, and causing continued suffering, as the Clinton’s did in Haiti?

I’m thinking B., but I’m not looking for something new and petty to be mad about and bash Trump with…… so your mileage may vary.
