Prayer Requests 10-7-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 56

Be merciful to me, my God,

    for my enemies are in hot pursuit;
    all day long they press their attack.
My adversaries pursue me all day long;
    in their pride many are attacking me.

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
4 In God, whose word I praise—
    in God I trust and am not afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?

All day long they twist my words;
    all their schemes are for my ruin.
They conspire, they lurk,
    they watch my steps,
    hoping to take my life.
Because of their wickedness do not[c] let them escape;
    in your anger, God, bring the nations down.

Record my misery;
    list my tears on your scroll—
    are they not in your record?
Then my enemies will turn back
    when I call for help.
    By this I will know that God is for me.

10 In God, whose word I praise,
    in the Lord, whose word I praise—
11 in God I trust and am not afraid.
    What can man do to me?

12 I am under vows to you, my God;
    I will present my thank offerings to you.
13 For you have delivered me from death
    and my feet from stumbling,
    that I may walk before God
    in the light of life.

  1. It brought tears when I read AJ was going. And then I thought of Linda’s “Road trip” comment yesterday and reasoned it meant the same. I am so moved by the love expressed in this blog family.

  2. How wonderful, blessings to all, so glad AJ and Linda can be there. Wish I could be there, too. We love you Kizzie. Wherever we are, scattered about several states and in 2 countries, we’re sharing in your tears today.

    Praying especially that the gospel goes forth in the messages and will find receptive hearts and minds.

  3. But I’ve always hoped I would have lost more weight before meeting any of you. 🙂 (I have lost 15 or so lbs. in the last two or three years. Slow & steady.)

  4. A sad event but a lovely time with Karen and AJ. I told Karen the hugs were from all of you. We also got to meet her daughters and grandson, of course.

  5. Third Arrow passed out in the car on the way home from church. I am thankful she wasn’t driving. She seems to be okay now, and is resting. Prayers for her are appreciated.

  6. Thanks for asking, Kizzie. There were two, and they’re still there, but don’t hurt anymore. (Well, the one in front never did, and the one on top doesn’t feel painful anymore unless I’ve got my purse over my shoulder for a while. So I try to avoid that side. I also — ahem, if any guys are reading, stop here — have been going braless lately, and that has helped, too.) 🙂

    I’ve been reading a book called Pain Free: A Revolutionary Method For Stopping Chronic Pain, and doing the exercises in that book has helped quite a bit. Also, the massage I got two weeks ago helped so much. I felt so wonderful all over for a good week after. I was expecting to feel wonderful for maybe a day or two after the massage, but a whole week! I don’t really know how it works, but maybe it helped flush some toxins out of my body — I just felt healthier in every way after that. Some of those good effects are wearing off slightly now, but I have another massage scheduled this month, and between that and the things I’m learning from the book, I’m hoping my health post-“arthritis”-diagnosis continues to improve like it started to after massage and targeted exercises.

    God is so good.

  7. And thank you for having prayed, all of you, I should add. For me and for my husband. He is making lifestyle adjustments to look out more for my health now, and I am grateful for the prayers on that front, as well. We’re working together better lately, and that’s good for both of us, as individuals and as a couple.

  8. To be perfectly honest, I was e petting an earthquake, not fire. We can see it north and south of us, 1.5 miles west they’re evacuating, the road is on fire three miles east and we’re sitting in the dark with little news. Twitter is my only source beyond FB. I’m packing up some, but am very thankful my computer is backed up on Mozy. Not all the photos, though.
