It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajisuun and The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 32
1 Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
2 Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.
3 When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night
your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.
6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
will not reach them.
7 You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
9 Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the Lord’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts in him.
11 Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!
Feeling less overwhelmed, especially since Hubby will be coming home, not going to a rehab facility. Thank you so much for the prayers & encouragement.

And now, another possible setback. More bleeding in the urine. They now need to determine if this is from the previous problem, or due to the Coumadin.
A couple things I’ve forgotten to mention: I’ve told you that Hubby called Nightingale as he was having the stroke, which prompted her to call 911. But he does not remember calling her. I’ve wondered if God made his finger press the correct button to call her, without him realizing what he was doing. Maybe?
While in the first hospital, for the blood in his urine, they noticed that his left lower leg is noticeably larger than his right lower leg. (We’ve known this for a while.) That prompted them to take an ultrasound of the left leg, looking for clots. They did not take a look at the right leg, & that is the one the clot did come from. 😦

Continuing in prayer for you and hubby, Kizzie.
Asking for prayers for the safety of the many workers on our property today and tomorrow, putting in the new septic system. Big equipment, very sloped property, an access road needing to be built to the clearing in the woods where the new system will be, etc. Hubby has both days off work, and is outside overseeing a lot of things, too. Prayers for all to be alert and stay safe. Thanks.

The feeling of being overwhelmed is coming back. Hubby said there’s a lot of information being given, & decisions to be made (what decisions?), & some other stuff.

Lord grant Kizzie peace in this storm, and direction and insight for decisions that must be made.

Comparing to just about everyone, my complaints are minor, but in conversation yesterday I realized I’ve got quite a bit of spiritual warfare going on. I’m off to deal with the latest–I think I have shingles!
We’ll see what the doctor says, but if so, I’m grateful that it is in such a benign spot, making it a nuisance but not a game changer. So totally odd–but what else is new?

Shingles is often a sign of stress. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/shingles/home/ovc-20346699
It is what is known as a latent virus. The DNA strands of the chicken pox virus become part of the DNA material of the nerve cells and lies latent until stress of some kind causes the virus DNA material to reemerge and cause disease. Because it lies latent in central nerve tissue, the blisters generally occur along the path of a peripheral nerve, hence the common occurrence along the rib cage and also the pain. It is infectious, and non-immune children and adults can catch chicken pox from someone with shingles.

Michelle! Did you not get the vaccine? I was going to wait until I turned sixty but got them several years ago. I did not mention it to the doctor. It came, it went.

Vaccine only 50% effective and apparently I thought about it but didn’t get it. Doc wasn’t sure but ordered meds.
Yes, it was stress that finally made me click with the weird symptoms I’ve been whining about all week. This is above my hip on my back, where waist band hits. I’ll take it, given all the other places it could appear.
One more thing for God to manage! Lol

That is about where mine was. Stay away from unvaccinated children, old people, babies. You should be good.

I think I posted here last August when Hubby got shingles (he stressed about the stupid pool we were putting in all summer – he is a worrier). His went to his head and face and the nerve damage has not healed, so that he has constant pain in his mouth and on his cheek. I think I warned you all last year to get the vaccine (Michelle!) and am doing so again now. Trust me, you do not want this.

Anonymous?? How did I become anonymous all of a sudden?

Got the meds and I’m not too worried.
I’m living the Alfred P. Neumann life these days: “What? Me worry?”
(It hangs out right next to the state of denial aisle).

Well, on Monday evening we were told Hubby would be coming home Tuesday or Wednesday. Now it is Wednesday night, & with this bleeding starting up again, we now have no idea when he will be coming home. They are taking their time figuring this out.
Please pray that an answer (about what is causing the bleeding & what to do about it) will be found very soon. Oh, & for healing of that bleeding, too, please. Thank you.
Nightingale & I are going up to see him in the morning & early afternoon for a while, then Chickadee & I will be childsitting for the rest of the afternoon & evening. But I hope to have time to catch up with you all again, & tell you some more of what is happening with us. God bless!
