Prayer Requests 9-5-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 25:1-11

In you, Lord my God,
    I put my trust.

I trust in you;
    do not let me be put to shame,
    nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one who hopes in you
    will ever be put to shame,
    but shame will come on those
    who are treacherous without cause.

Show me your ways, Lord,
    teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
    for you are God my Savior,
    and my hope is in you all day long.
Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
    for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
    and my rebellious ways;
    according to your love remember me,
    for you, Lord, are good.

Good and upright is the Lord;
    therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
    and teaches them his way.
10 All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful
    toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.
11 For the sake of your name, Lord,
    forgive my iniquity, though it is great.

  1. Prayer for anon and family.
    Prayer for Six and family.
    Prayer for Tim and Chris. Has Tim had to change his job? Seems he used to travel quite a bit but with a child in school, that may have had to change.

  2. Day 6 of Hubby in the hospital. Supposedly, Hubby will the catheter removed sometime today. The bleeding has slowed quite a bit, finally.

    Heart issue seems to be resolved for now, but he has been advised to see his cardiologist for a work-up, including stress test. The urologist mentioned a different kind of med for the prostate cancer, which he will ask his oncologist about.

    Still no word on when he will be sprung.

    Roscuro – I’m sorry I forgot to answer your question yesterday about removal of the prostate. Twelve years ago, when he was first diagnosed, it was decided to not remove it, because the very-high PSA number indicated that the cancer had most probably already escaped the prostate. Instead, he underwent eight weeks of five-times a week radiation. He was told that once the prostate has undergone the radiation, it can’t be removed.

    However, that was 12 years ago, so maybe that has changed? He’ll be asking the oncologist about that, too.

  3. The catheter was not removed today, but they stopped the IVs. They told him they will remove the catheter tomorrow.

    A nurse had him get up & walk down the hall a couple times. He is amazed at how weak his legs felt, how quickly our muscles lose their strength. He was determined to do some more walking tonight, or whenever a nurse has time to assist him.
