Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
I hardly ever ask anyone to pray just for me. Today, I am being selfish and asking.

You get it often, whether you ask or not.
But asking helps.

Oh, yes, Kim–you have been much on my mind and in my prayers, as has some others on here.

Kim, that is not being selfish. That is opening yourself up to friends and being transparent. That is how we are to be with each other, taking off the masks we wear.

Please pray for me too. I’m feeling pretty blue the last few days from the losses of my dog and my friend, both losses sudden and unexpected.
I just read the weekend’s prayer request for the man who lost his wife and three children. I can’t even imagine what that would be like.
Kim, you’re often in my prayers.

I’m sorry to hear about your losses, Kevin.
Praying for all of the situations I’ve read on the prayer threads. I am trying to keep up with those, anyway (I sometimes fall behind, though), but I feel bad that I don’t know about a lot of other things with all your lives, as I am weeks behind on the other threads. Please know my lack of written responses at this blog lately is not an indication I don’t care. Life got extremely busy suddenly, and priorities have had to shift.
The Lord is seeing me through the challenges, and has delivered some unexpected blessings, too. Praying His faithfulness will be felt by all here, as well.
Blessings.

Kevin the lost of a pet can be very hard. They are often more a part of our daily lives than most people.

That’s true, KBells. I’ve been tempted to feel guilty that the dog’s death seemed to hurt more than the friend’s. I’ve had to listen to what I’ve told my children many times, that feelings are what they are and don’t always make sense, and you can’t beat yourself up for having them.
I guess what you say makes sense out of it. Throughout every day there are little things that remind us the dog is not there, such as when I go to the frig to get myself a piece of cheese. Subconsciously I’m still listening for the tap-tap-tap of his toenails across the kitchen floor as he comes out in hopes of sharing my snack.
Bill was far away and not part of my life every day. But I am sad I’ll have to wait so long to visit with him again, and sad for his family and others who will miss his regular presence in their lives.

Thank you all. I think I need to run away for a day. Niece and Nephew are concerned about BG and about the stress she is putting on her Nana. I can’t convince her to come back here. I think her father needs to take away her car and she needs to lose her job, but beyond that….
Me? I still don’t have a clear path figured out.
