Prayer Requests 7-1-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 118:1-14

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his love endures forever.

Let Israel say:
    “His love endures forever.”
Let the house of Aaron say:
    “His love endures forever.”
Let those who fear the Lord say:
    “His love endures forever.”

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
    he brought me into a spacious place.
The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?
The Lord is with me; he is my helper.
    I look in triumph on my enemies.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in humans.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in princes.
10 All the nations surrounded me,
    but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
11 They surrounded me on every side,
    but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,
    but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;
    in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
    but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my defense;
    he has become my salvation.

  1. Summer camp starts tomorrow at Camp Kadesh. Please pray for the staff (awesome young people) and for the campers – 85% of whom come from non-evangelical homes (majority are unchurched). Thank you.

  2. Praying today for my husband’s healing – healing of the advanced prostate cancer, of his heart (literally & figuratively), & of his arthritis, which has been bothering him much more over the last year or so.

    The first two are the more serious for his over-all health, of course, but he is especially bothered by the pain of the arthritis. I’ve prayed for God to either heal him of it, or ease his pain.

    Praying also for all the others on here who suffer pain, &/or have serious health issues, like Kbells.

  3. Kizzie, something that has helped my husband a great deal with his arthritis is oil of oregano. You have to buy the real thing, nasty tasting. Three drops in a cup of water a couple of times a day. It is an anti inflammatory and seems to be at least as effective as his multi thousand dollar meds. He definitely notices when he forgets to take it. It is not from the oregano we eat.

  4. The sermon text today was from Numbers 27, and our pastor mentioned Meribah Kadesh. I right away thought of Kare and Camp Kadesh and said a little prayer for all those campers. 🙂 May the Lord bless the efforts of all of you on staff, and bring more children into His fold.

  5. Feeling melancholy after going through the old “files” from years past. Funny how you almost relive some of those times — my mom’s death, the estate issues, paperwork from former dogs long gone and still missed, cards from friends of long ago.

    And I’m also into a period where I just can’t see the end of the tunnel for the house repairs, especially with the foundation job being seemingly stuck. It feels like this will be the way it is, forever and ever, right now.

    I’m sure I’ll feel better in the morning. And a dog walk might help before it gets any darker outside.
