62 The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate.63 “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’64 So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first.”
65 “Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.”66 So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Good morning. I’m asking for prayers for my cousin, Pike, who I think is homeless. I believe him to be mentally ill–so ill that he lacks insight into his condition and has refused all offers of help. His cell has been disconnected. I’ve tried to reach him through email (he lives in Houston) many times, but have received no response. Both his parents are deceased. This is weighing heavily on my heart and would so appreciate any and all prayers for him….
Good morning and Happy Easter! I spoke to Pike’s brother (who lives in Atlanta) yesterday….He confirmed that Pike has been living out of his car since December….Car was actually a company car (company was owned by Pike’s close friend and peer, so when he suddenly quit coming to work mid-November and absconded with the car–the guy didn’t pursue it). However, Pike’s former boss got a call that car had been impounded, so he went to retrieve it. In the car, he found a lot of Pike’s clothing, a pillow, blanket and a box of old family photographs/mementos. Pike’s brother last had contact with him via email approximately three weeks ago. No one has heard from him since….
The SS lesson for tomorrow is Matt. 28:1-15
