Prayer Requests 3-29-17

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia, and for Ajisuun as well.

Anyone else?

Psalm 26

Vindicate me, Lord,
    for I have led a blameless life;
I have trusted in the Lord
    and have not faltered.
Test me, Lord, and try me,
    examine my heart and my mind;
for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love
    and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.

I do not sit with the deceitful,
    nor do I associate with hypocrites.
I abhor the assembly of evildoers
    and refuse to sit with the wicked.
I wash my hands in innocence,
    and go about your altar, Lord,
proclaiming aloud your praise
    and telling of all your wonderful deeds.

Lord, I love the house where you live,
    the place where your glory dwells.
Do not take away my soul along with sinners,
    my life with those who are bloodthirsty,
10 in whose hands are wicked schemes,
    whose right hands are full of bribes.
11 I lead a blameless life;
    deliver me and be merciful to me.

12 My feet stand on level ground;
    in the great congregation I will praise the Lord.

  1. Pray that the leaking sewer pipe under my driveway is confined to just that area and won’t encroach onto my neighbor’s property — that this will be as easy a fix as is possible, considering.

  2. Please pray for the hiring process for spring/summer staff at Camp Kadesh. It’s a long gruelling task for the director. He needs wisdom and patience. Thanks.

    Please continue to pray for Kaitlyn. Oncology doctor said they usually don’t give chemo to one as far along as she is, but they’re doing it anyways.

  3. As I said yesterday, I printed Michelle’s OFFensive prayer. I hung it above my desk. I have read it three times today and said Amen each time.
    After BG’s initial “I am awake therefore I have a fit” fit this morning she was actually pleasant.

  4. Husband is off to fly the friendly skies to Pensacola. He will be visiting his dad and attending son’s promotion to Major ceremony. I encourage him to use any excuse to visit his dad as he is ninety and opportunities may be growing fewer. He will also be visiting three of the grands.

    Prayer for an easy journey for him and sanity for me. As always. Thanks.

  5. Hubby was working on the budget today, & realized we went over budget by a lot. He is no longer asked to work on Wednesdays, so he is really missing that extra money that he needed to make. He is thinking again about getting a part-time job on Wednesdays. (That may not sound like such a bad thing, considering he’d been working most Wednesdays, but the difference is that he could refuse to work one if he needed a day off or if we had an appointment. Having only Sunday as a day off makes it difficult to accomplish certain things (taking the car into the shop, for instance).

    Anyway, he went to bed feeling very down & worried, & beating himself up inside. Please pray for him, & for an answer to our financial stresses.

  6. And please pray for wisdom & direction on how to handle the financial situation.

    Particularly, for me, that I would not try to get ahead of God by trying to figure things out on my own, or try to “make” something happen. I have already felt my mind in gear, with a couple ideas. One isn’t too bad, another would be. Praying God will lead me – us – in His will for this.
