Prayer Requests 3-28-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 25:1-11

In you, Lord my God,
    I put my trust.

I trust in you;
    do not let me be put to shame,
    nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one who hopes in you
    will ever be put to shame,
but shame will come on those
    who are treacherous without cause.

Show me your ways, Lord,
    teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
    for you are God my Savior,
    and my hope is in you all day long.
Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
    for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
    and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
    for you, Lord, are good.

Good and upright is the Lord;
    therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
    and teaches them his way.
10 All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful
    toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.
11 For the sake of your name, Lord,
    forgive my iniquity, though it is great.

  1. Hi friends,
    Update on Lindsey: she is still unable to attend school….I can’t remember if I’ve posted this yet–but we saw a pediatric concussion specialist last week. We were referred to him by Lindsey’s neurologist . He gave her a neuropsychological test called Mpact. All her scores were in the teens or lower–meaning she sustained significant damage when she fell. He predicted she’d need two weeks of complete cognitive rest to heal. Yesterday, she was feeling a bit better, so she attempted some make up work. She takes all AP classes, except for history. The work she did was for her regulars class–so it wasn’t difficult material. Unfortunately, after only thirty minutes of homework, she was nauseous and her head was throbbing. So, please continue to pray for her recovery….

  2. Thanks for your prayers for safety. We landed at the New Tribes hangar in Goroka. I knew you all were praying when we started to leave the hangar and an older lady said, “Do not walk to town. This section of road is rascal alley. Go back in and sit down and we will give you a ride.” It was probably less than a mile, but not a safe place. They took us right to the lovely hotel, where I had some breakfast. She also made sure to give us a phone number to call when we were ready to be picked up.

  3. When praying for salvation, please remember BG as well. There had been some softening, but the boyfriend is back in a position of influence and I see some hardening of heart. I really wish …. Well, you know what I wish.

  4. I have a doctors appointment for my back tomorrow but I have to get through today. I have to work because the other office girl is out. Sitting is the worse thing for it.
    Also, after going through this and feeling the effects of the prayers of others, I would like to make a pain prayer list for people who endure chronic, regular or ongoing pain. On my list is my Nephew Clint with Cohn’s disease and my friend George who had a stroke several years ago. George walked a mile yesterday for the first time since the stroke. If you know someone or are someone who needs this let me know. I am no saint and don’t know how much good it will do but every little bit helps.

  5. Add my friend Jenn & my husband to that list, please.

    The other night, I was praying for all the people with health & chronic pain issues I could think of. So many. 😦

    And throw in my girls, my grandson, & his father for salvation, too. Thanks.

  6. Kim – I felt a little knot of anxiety when I read your mention of the boyfriend being back in influence, as it reminded me of what we went through with Mr X. He pressured Nightingale to stop coming to church with us, for one thing. Shortly before that, when she was fired from her nanny position with a family in our church, he pressured her to not come with us for a meeting with them after church, which was meant to help them explain their reasons & for her to tell her side, so as to bring peace among us all.

  7. That family loved Nightingale, & agreed that she was excellent with their little daughter, but had concerns about her relationship with Mr X (he would be texting her while she was supposed to be watching Gracie, & her clothes smelled heavily of his cigarette smoke, which bothered them). It was really sad when they let her go, & they were almost as devastated as she was.

  8. Thank you, KBells. You may add my dad to your list. (He has the same first name as The Real, though with a slightly different spelling. Not that that matters — God knows who you’re praying about.) 🙂 Chronic back pain.

    Prayers for salvation request: for 2nd Arrow and her fiance. They are not walking in truth at this time.

    Prayers for all these mentioned needs on this thread, as well as earlier ones.

  9. KBells, I don’t know how often you’re in the office, but if you regularly need to sit to do your work there, is it possible to set up a standing-desk arrangement instead? I don’t know cost or availability of those, but it may be worthwhile to look into if you do a lot of desk work.

    Prayers for you as you get through today.
