Prayer Requests 3-25-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

  1. Prayer for son and daughter as they prepare to go visit their bio dad in prison next week. First time son has seen his bio dad in about thirteen years. Last time daughter saw him, she says he hit her when she would not give him money. I don’t know the accuracy of the statement as she was visiting him in prison with guards and glass.

  2. We heard really sad news from Sarah the Missionary today. I can’t even imagine how she and David are feeling right now. Nevertheless, Sarah posted this with the sure hope that she would see Daniel again in glory.

    Dear Friends,

Daniel Bryant Spann went to be with Jesus this afternoon.
We are grieved, but we grieve with the sure hope of seeing our son again because of our Savior, Jesus, Who overcame death.

Thank you for standing with us and praying so faithfully.

We will post details of a memorial service as we know them. Please pray as we enter this difficult season.

    Love,
    David and Sarah

  3. I’m so sorry to hear that, Ricky, but thankful at the same time that this little one is safely home with Jesus. My condolences and prayers are with the family.

  5. Sad to hear that, Ricky. Nothing sadder than a child suffering or dying.

We have a visitation for one musician Monday evening. Earlier in the day, in another town, is a memorial service for another musician friend. We had one last week, too. Hope this is the end for awhile.

    Will pray, mumsee.

  6. Sister-in-law and nieces who were in London this week fly back home tomorrow. (Well, one of the girls with her mom returns to the States; the other is off to Norway, or will be soon, and will return to the States Wednesday.) Prayers for safe travels appreciated.

  7. Please pray for Paul Washer, who suffered a heart attack last Monday evening and is now recovering post-surgery. Pray of course for Charo and the children as well.

  8. Keep praying for my cousin Bill who was struck in a crosswalk a few weeks ago (he was ‘lucky’ in that he only sustained a broken leg, but it was a very bad break, worse than they thought at first).

He had surgery last week and is recovering at home for now (it’ll be a long recovery). They’ll know more about his long-term prognosis in 8 weeks. He’s the one who restored the 1918 house. Friends and his brother from Arizona are helping with care in his home right now, but he may have to spend time in a rehab place since he lives alone and is really still incapacitated. Talked to him today, though, and he sounded in very good spirits, cracking jokes as usual.

  9. Please pray for Hubby. His arthritis (especially in his knees) is making his life more difficult, & keeps him from playing with Little Guy the way he would like to. He also expressed sometimes feeling moments of what he thinks is anxiety, with his heart racing, & breathing hard for a few moments, mostly when he gets up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, & then lies down again. (I don’t know if it is a mental/emotional thing or a physical problem causing that.)

Please pray for healing & strengthening of his heart, & that God will continue to sustain his life as he continues on with prostate cancer (or heal him completely). Also, please pray for God to help him work out some issues in his life.

And if you will, please pray for Heidi’s back right leg/hip to feel better soon. Every now & then she aggravates it somehow, & will limp, trying not to walk on that foot, & she needs help getting up on the bed or couch. It usually clears up in a few days, & we do have her on a supplement for her joints, which I increase when this happens.

    Thank you & God bless!
