It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia, and for Ajisuun as well.
Anyone else?
Psalm 7:1-10
1 Lord my God, I take refuge in you;
save and deliver me from all who pursue me,
2 or they will tear me apart like a lion
and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
3 Lord my God, if I have done this
and there is guilt on my hands—
4 if I have repaid my ally with evil
or without cause have robbed my foe—
5 then let my enemy pursue and overtake me;
let him trample my life to the ground
and make me sleep in the dust.
6 Arise, Lord, in your anger;
rise up against the rage of my enemies.
Awake, my God; decree justice.
7 Let the assembled peoples gather around you,
while you sit enthroned over them on high.
8 Let the Lord judge the peoples.
Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness,
according to my integrity, O Most High.
9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked
and make the righteous secure—
you, the righteous God
who probes minds and hearts.
10 My shield is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.
I would appreciate prayers for my daughter, April. She is overwhelmed with all that is happening in her life. She needs to find balance, and more time for her children.

We’re going to be traveling for the next week; prayers for safety. I’m not sure if I’ll be on line much–I’m trying to really take a break. Email me if there’s a major prayer request!

Amen.
A couple follow-ups on prayer requests regarding members of my church:
Baby B, born February 1 at 37 weeks (Mom was induced due to severe pre-eclampsia) and weighing 4 lbs. 12 oz, experienced respiratory and other problems that resulted in his needing to be in NICU. I am pleased to report that he came along well, and was able to go home to his parents (P & M — this is their first baby) when he was eight days old. By his check-up when he was 13 days old, he’d regained the weight he’d lost, and was over five pounds! Thanks for praying for this little guy and his parents.
Update 2: Friend S, who has been wheelchair-bound since experiencing a back aneurysm and having emergency surgery last summer, had a benefit given for her a week and a half ago, hoping to raise funds for a wheelchair-accessible van. I do not know how much was brought in, but those who organized the benefit hoped to sell 300 meal tickets. Tickets that were bought in advance numbered about 200, so they were hoping more would be sold at the door.
Turns out, just as many did buy tickets the day of, and around 400 people were served! Plus, all of the bake sale items sold, and there were lots and lots of raffle items, as well.
There were also matching funds set up. It was a wonderful day, and S was so radiant and cheerful. Thank you so much for your prayers for this event and for S and her family.
