Prayer Requests 1-31-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 123

I lift up my eyes to you,
to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
till he shows us his mercy.

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us,
for we have endured no end of contempt.
We have endured no end
    of ridicule from the arrogant,
    of contempt from the proud.

  1. Father God,

Thank You for beautiful sunny weather today in Atlanta. May it be a good day for my friend to fly across country.

I lift up A. J. for needed relief from pain. Please give him a clue as to what has caused the flare up so he can correct course. May You provide new and more effective remedies. Pain is so hard to beat. Please lift this burden from A.J. Please help Cheryl and Liz to know of little things they can do to make him feel better on the home front.

I also lift up Chas for healing and relief from his sinus issues. Please make him aware of what would help most to set his sinus cavities straight so they are not inflamed, stuffy, or draining in excess. You see his need for a solution to this uncomfortable issue. I ask, for You to also help Elvera to quickly get well from the urinary problem.

Thank You God for Your quick response according to Your will on these and all other prayers lifted based on other requests such as Bell’s on here recently. In Jesus, Amen

  2. Hubby & I may have to have an uncomfortable conversation later – the kind husbands & wives need to have occasionally to straighten out hurt feelings or misunderstandings. Please pray each of us will have grace towards the other, & be willing to see our own faults without getting defensive. Thank you.

  3. Odd decision issue. I prayed for a small amount of money for something I wanted to try. A slight gamble that might not pan out, but a life long dream if it does. My Christmas bonus was $2 more than I needed, seemingly answering my prayer. Then Sunday at church they were collecting for shoes for missions. It crossed my mind that I should give the money for that. Was it just guilt and sentimentality or was it God and I’m at risk of missing a blessing. If the risk doesn’t work out I will blame my wrong decision, if I give away the money and life just goes on I will blame my wrong decision and never know if the risk would have worked out. Am I just over thinking?

  4. KBells, either way the money will leave your account. You received your answer in December when you received the amount you could need for your dream. Anything beyond that is second guessing.
What is that saying? At the end of life people regret what they didn’t do? I have a friend who long wanted to escape the cold of Pittsburgh. He wanted to simplify his life. He dreamed of moving south and living near a beach, but his parents are getting older and he felt guilty about leaving them. Then several of his friends died suddenly and he decided to talk to his parents about his dreams. With their blessing he moved on received his storage Pod in South Carolina a few days before Christmas. I don’t know that I have ever seen him happier.
(Now, if I could just make my own decisions as easily as I make them for others)

  5. Wisdom as I will have to give the little fellow a shot, sounds like pneumonia and looks like pink eye. Poor guy. It has been a long time since I have had to do the shots so I am asking God to guide my hand. Thanks.

  6. Had fever and chills last night, and I was beginning to think I might have step. However, the sore throat has eased off, though I have a terrible sinus headache. However, I managed to get through class this morning, complete with in class assignment, and meet with one of my (three) small groups for a project we have to complete by Friday.

  7. Shot went fine, as did the oral antibiotics. Unfortunately, the little fellow fell into the water trough and got soaked, I am certain that will not help his case. But he is dried off and back in the huddle with a full tummy.

  8. No time for Hubby & I to talk today, as he had a problem with his work truck & got home much later than usual. Then, of course, he was tired, which is not a good time to talk.
