It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Psalm 100
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Yesterday I told you of my cousin contacting me for a family medical history. Her mother, my Aunt J is going to the doctor today. Please pray that her husband is able to get her there and the doctor can prescribe something to help with the anger and to slow the progression of this memory loss.
In speaking with my cousin I asked her what had happened that she did not grow up with her mother. It is a long story which I never understood. I asked my dad many times why my Aunt J didn’t have her children. NO one in his family would have ever willingly given up their child. He always told me there was a crooked judge involved and it wasn’t anything I needed to know. Yesterday I asked my cousin what had happened and it was heartbreaking. THEN, she said, “As a Christian I know God had a plan and even though it was bad, I am OK”. I woke up in the middle of the night replaying the conversation. I have already sent her a message this morning telling her that our grandmother prayed every day for her children, grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren that they would know God and find salvation. How wonderful to see that her prayers have come to fruition!

Kim, that is a powerful and encouraging family testimony. Praying for your Aunt and her husband.
I meant to ask you, is L still in the hospital?

L is home. She has developed a blood clot and they are treating that with medication. She will have another surgery in a few weeks. Thank you for asking.

Oh, it gets better…. This from my cousin. I needed this personally because I pray for BG and I always ask you to pray for her and it seems she just continues to go her own way. If I could see 15 years down the road and have her say something to me like this…. well, I don’t need to explain what it would mean.
I have heard that also, Mom also has always prayed a hedge of protection around us and that we would “know the truth”. Meaning that she did/does love us and had no control over my Dad getting custody. It’s hard to swallow sometimes thinking of the why and how and results of not being with her for so many years, but life is what it is and I have had to learn to let somethings go and know that God has the greater plan.
We covet your prayers.

Maybe share with her, Kim? This is a great read because we all know someone with depression or at least someone with reason to despair.

Wow, Kim, so sad and yet so encouraging and uplifting. I often overheard my parents praying for me and husband,and my children – I know that their prayers go on ringing in God’s ears even though my mom has been gone almost 20 years. Now my stepmom prays for us with dad every single day.
This is an excellent reminder to continue to pray for our children, their (future) spouses and so on.

Prayers for those shot (and their families) at Fort Lauderdale.
Praise that our son got home safely on his early morning flight which meant leaving home at 4 a.m. to get to the Atlanta airport.

Please pray for safety here in Atlanta and all areas affected by the ice/snow. I just heard the first tree popping and breaking. I trust in God for safety through the storm.
