Prayer Requests 12-10-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 71:1-8

In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
    let me never be put to shame.
In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
    turn your ear to me and save me.
Be my rock of refuge,
    to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
    for you are my rock and my fortress.
Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,
    from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.

For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
    my confidence since my youth.
From birth I have relied on you;
    you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.
    I will ever praise you.
I have become a sign to many;
    you are my strong refuge.
My mouth is filled with your praise,
    declaring your splendor all day long.

  1. Prayer for wisdom and safety for husband as he is driving through Oregon to Spokane and then to Fort Collins. Roads are quite icy and he is expected to make a Monday morning delivery in Colorado. Wisdom to pull over if conditions are too rugged. Thanks.

  2. Yesterday I mentioned hurting my back a bit by doing something stupid. Turns out the achy-ness is more than I said. I don’t think it is “go to the doctor” bad, but I would appreciate prayers for it to ease up soon. Thank you.

  4. Prayers please that I would finish these last two days of the term well. I am also thinking that perhaps I need to go back over my comments. Oh, I just realized that I can actually do that from home.

  5. Nightingale’s friend Jackie owns several goats, & is taking a few of them to be in a living nativity scene at the local Methodist church today. Jackie asked her to come & help wrangle them if they try to wander off.

    So Nightingale & Little Guy are going to be hanging out at a living nativity scene today. 🙂

    Praying their hearts will be touched by the Holy Spirit today.

  6. I don’t think I’ll be here tomorrow.

    I’m driving to Palo Alto to see a friend which will take all day, but dropping off our pastor at SFO along the way. His mother died in the early hours this morning and he preached both services today. Now he travels home for the burial–two years after burying his father who died on Christmas Eve. Tough Christmas time for the family, but the mom had Alzheimer’s and he told us today she’s no longer in pain, confused or lost–but safely home with Jesus.

    Stargazer has a fourth and final interview later this week for a data job in San Francisco. Pray as God puts it on your heart; thank you.
