It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.
Anyone else?
Psalm 100
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
It’s difficult reading a different version of a Psalm you have memorized. 🙂

Me too Chas. That verse was the first “homework” I ever had. My kindergarten teacher Mrs. Demotropolis made us learn it.
There’s a hat tip to Jo. What you are doing with your students will be remembered.

I am back asking for prayers for my friend L. She had some tests done yesterday and is in tremendous pain. She is no wimpy person by any means. She is a formidable woman. Last night I received a message from her husband at 11:30 asking me to please pray for her. He didn’t know if she would feel like guests at all today. (I have her Thanksgiving side dishes in my refrigerator—somebody is going to need to eat them!).
It has also struck me that R needs prayers himself. He spent 26 years in the Navy and was away from home a lot of those years. He’s not much of a wimp either, but if something happens to her he is going to be lost.
Thank you.

Angelle–forty or so woman who had reduction surgery maybe a year ago, then last month surgery to deal with all the excess skin. She’s now contracted MRSA– a superbug in the incision site that doesn’t respond to antibiotics. She’s in isolation in Oregon for a couple weeks. Difficult.

What I posted last night. . .
“Mr X finally decided to accept a plea deal. He plead guilty to threatening, with the other charges (child endangerment & disorderly conduct, or something like that) dropped. He was sentenced to probation (Nightingale thinks for a year), & has to cooperate with a couple programs.
“Unfortunately, although the protective order is still in effect for Nightingale, the one for Little Guy has been ended. Mr X can see Little Guy, but can only contact Nightingale through a third party, like his mom or us. (So we guess his visits with LG will involve Mr X’s mom having to pick him up, since Mr X probably can’t come to our home.)
“Mr X’s mom will be picking Little Guy up tomorrow afternoon for some time with Mr X at her house. LG says he is scared to see his dad again. Nightingale is very disappointed about the protective order for LG being dropped, & so are we.
“It’s not that we think he would hurt Little Guy physically, but we know how manipulative & emotionally abusive he can be.”

R is taking L to the ER to have her treated for nausea. She has been up all night with it. They have prescription anti-nausea meds but they haven’t worked.

Please pray: prayer request on Facebook, Peter and Carrie adopting the five siblings are stuck in the airport in San Jose, Costa Rica. Pray for fog to lift and the plane to land that is to take them home. No other flights have 7 seats for them. Only God can change the weather and get them on this flight to Atlanta.

They are keeping L in the hospital tonight. Another UTI and the stints may not be working.
