  1. You do know plans are in the works for NATO troops to gather along the western border of Russia? http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2016/10/war-in-europe-ho-hum.php

You do know President Obama took time out to write an essay this summer on the economy for The Economist magazine and also to edit this month’s Wired Magazine?

Did you know what is happening in Hungary? http://observer.com/2016/10/putins-support-for-europes-far-right-just-turned-lethal/

Smoke and mirrors–oh, wait, a squirrel!

  2. Did any of you see this? I made the comment to Mr. P that part of what is wrong with our country is that more of our leaders haven’t served in the military. A woman like this who lost both of her legs during war is going to think twice before she sends your child into war. Oh, and they don’t let just anybody in to the Daughters of the American Revolution you idiot.

  3. And now, heading into the home stretch:

Keep your eyes on the polls. They are displaying a lot of volatility. A lot of people like to point to 1980, when polls on the Friday before the election showed Reagan in a dead heat with Jimmy Carter. (Most polls gave Reagan a small lead, but one or two reputable ones had Carter slightly ahead.) …

Were the polls wrong? Actually they weren’t. There were fewer polls in 1980 than today, and most of the big polling companies (Gallup, Harris, etc) stopped polling Friday night. But both campaigns kept doing their own tracking polls over the weekend, and both saw the same things: a huge move of undecided voters to Reagan over the weekend and into Monday. The Carter people saw “the bottom fall out,” not just for Carter but also for Democratic Senate candidates down ballot. Could the same thing happen again this year? Keep your eye on Wikileaks. …

Third, Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself. . .) insist that there’s no voter fraud. If so, how come Baltimore Democrats are complaining so much about vote fraud in that city’s Democratic primary? …

… We all want to stop Hillary Clinton and her vile agenda. We all want to reverse decades of Democratic policy on immigration and government growth, on social leftism and leftist race-baiting. If Trump loses, we’ll have to get over our differences about him to do that.

We all had sincere positions on Trump.

It wasn’t just preening. It wasn’t unearned moral superiority.

We had serious disagreements, but we agree on basic principles. If we can agree on all of that, there’s a future for conservatism.

If Trump succeeds, however, in his post-election plan to divide conservatives between those who were loyal to him and those who were not, he’ll have told his biggest lie and, on the basis of that, won his greatest victory. And the conservative movement’s collapse will be the final step in the political Armageddon he and his advisers so desire.

  5. I still think there is going to be a backlash vote for Trump. So many people are sick of having Clinton crammed down their throat they are going to vote for anyone but her. I am not saying I agree with it but I understand it.

  6. Clearly Trump has crossed the line here. He’s now scaring muslim children in their dreams.

Is there no end to the idiocy of the NYTimes and how badly they’re in the pocket of Clinton? is a better question. It’s time to put the old gray lady in a home where she can’t harm herself or others any longer.

Unless of course she to develops the power to terrorize people’s dreams, like they allege Trump has.

This would be laughable were it not so pathetic.

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/10/donald_trump_accused_of_stalking_muslim_kids_in_their_dreams.html

“Donald Trump is now invading the dreams of Muslim children and driving them mad. He’s just like Freddy Krueger, only with smaller hands. The New York Times reports:

Bilal Elcharfa was pouring cereal for his children before school this month when his 7-year-old daughter, Maaria, walked into the kitchen, calling for him.

“Baba, I had a scary dream,” she said, hugging him tight. “About Donald Trump.”

“He was so mean to us,” she said. “He had a scary face, like a zombie or something.” In the dream, Maaria later said, Mr. Trump came to the home of every Muslim family in the country and put each one in jail.”
    —————————–

Here’s the Times piece…… and yeah, it’s a piece of something alright….. a big, stinking pile of it….

“Maaria is just beginning to understand that her family’s faith sets her apart in her public school, where she is one of only a few Muslims in her second-grade class. But she does not fully grasp how it could be used against her, and she lacks the ability of even her older siblings, in their teens, to absorb the blows.

“They cannot defend themselves,” Mr. Elcharfa said about Maaria and her 9-year-old sister, Zaynub. “They’re still young.”

Across the country, Muslim parents have been facing such moments almost daily, riding each tumultuous wave of the news cycle, including Mr. Trump’s incendiary rhetoric and calls to ban Muslims from entering the country and the recent bombing in Manhattan. But how to explain such harsh realities to a young child?

Even as some Muslim parents try to shelter their children from the news, they cannot prevent them from hearing hurtful words in their classrooms and at the playground. Their children come home asking their parents why a classmate said Mr. Trump, the Republican nominee, wants to kick their family out of the country. They ask why, if their religion is one of peace, they so often get called terrorists in the hallways.”

And they wonder why readership is tanking…..

  7. From CNBC via Drudge:

The FBI is probing new emails related to Hillary Clinton, FBI Director James Comey said in a Friday letter.
“In previous congressional testimony, I referred to the fact that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had completed its investigation of former Secretary Clinton’s personal email server. Due to recent developments, I am writing to supplement my previous testimony,” Comey wrote.

“In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation…..”

Suppose Hillary gets elected and they discover the corruption?

  8. Or not.

    Some new Trump accusation too.

    And so it goes.

But I agree that the polls are in flux, hard to verify for accuracy — and that the race remains still unpredictable.

  9. “Or not” is correct. Those of us who know that Hillary is a thief and a liar will be ahead of the game, so it makes no difference.
Those who want abortion, same sex marriage, and other perversions will accept that as the price we pay. I doubt that it will move much.

  10. I don’t know anyone who is a Hillary fan. Even diehard democrats. All the outdoor signage I have seen is Trump or Johnson. I have not seen a single Hillary sign, but I have not been to Albuquerque or Santa Fe. When I went to visit the grands in northern NM, I only saw Trump and Johnson. Northern NM is strongly Democrat.

  11. GOP insiders: Polls don’t capture secret Trump vote

‘I personally know many Republicans that won’t admit that they are voting for Trump. I don’t like admitting it myself,’ said a Virginia Republican.

Those battleground state polls that paint such a grim picture of Donald Trump’s prospects against Hillary Clinton? Most Republican insiders don’t believe they’re accurately capturing Trump’s true level of support.

That’s according to the POLITICO Caucus — a panel of activists, strategists and operatives in 11 key battleground states. More than seven-in-10 GOP insiders, 71 percent, say the polls understate Trump’s support because voters don’t want to admit to pollsters that they are backing the controversial Republican nominee. …

A number of Republicans said that while they believe the polls are underestimating Trump, his deficit is too large for it to matter.

“He’ll outperform the polls but still won’t win,” a Pennsylvania Republican said.

  12. Looks like they were found on Huma and Weiner’s electronics while they investigated Weiner for sexting minors. Poetic justice, no?

    http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/new-emails-in-clinton-case-came-from-anthony-weiner%E2%80%99s-electronic-devices/ar-AAjwKRO?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U142DHP

“Federal law enforcement officials said Friday that the new emails uncovered in the closed investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server were discovered after the F.B.I. seized electronic devices belonging to Huma Abedin, a top aide to Mrs. Clinton, and her husband, Anthony Weiner.

The F.B.I. is investigating illicit text messages that Mr. Weiner sent to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina. The bureau told Congress on Friday that it had uncovered new emails related to the Clinton case — one federal official said they numbered in the thousands — potentially reigniting an issue that has weighed on the presidential campaign and offering a lifeline to Donald J. Trump less than two weeks before the election.

In a letter to Congress, the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said that emails had surfaced in an unrelated case, and that they “appear to be pertinent to the investigation.””

  13. And in a related story….

    http://www.wnd.com/2016/09/hillarys-chief-of-staff-used-personal-email-for-state-business/

“Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff at the State Department, Cheryl Mills, may have received classified national security information through one of two or three personal, unsecured email accounts she regularly used to communicate with Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

The evidence is in the latest cache of emails released by Judicial Watch, as well in Clinton-related emails attached as exhibits to the deposition Judicial Watch took with Mills in a lawsuit regarding Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state.

Approximately 10 percent of Abedin’s emails released through Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act requests were addressed to one of Mills’ various personal email addresses.

Several were found to contain such highly sensitive material that the State Department redacted 100 percent of the content pages, marking many pages with a bold stamp reading “PAGE DENIED.””

  14. The hits just keep comin’…..

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3882900/Hillary-Clinton-failed-declare-400-000-pricey-presents-private-jets-vacations-gifted-Bill-obligated-Secretary-State.html?ito=social-twitter_dailymailus

“Hillary Clinton did not disclose ‘expensive gifts,’ free vacations, and complimentary private jet travel her family received from business interests while she was at the State Department, according to leaked emails and federal disclosure records reviewed by the DailyMail.com

Long-time Clinton aide Doug Band claimed in a confidential 2011 memo published by Wikileaks this week that he helped obtain free vacations and personal travel for Bill Clinton and his family as part of his duties.

During Hillary Clinton’s tenure at the State Department, she did not report any gifts or travel reimbursements for herself or her spouse in her financial disclosure filings.

‘In support of the President’s for-profit activity, we also have solicited and obtained, as appropriate, in-kind services for the President and his family – for personal travel, hospitality, vacation and the like,’ wrote Band in the Nov. 16, 2011 memo to attorneys conducting an internal review of the Clinton Foundation.”

“Hillary Clinton did not disclose any gift or travel expenses that she or her husband received while at the State Department. The federal disclosure form requires officials to report gifts to themselves or a spouse totalling more than $350 from a single source, such as ‘tangible items, transportation, lodging, food, or entertainment’ and ‘travel-related cash reimbursements.’”

  15. Apparently folks have given up on the US news media and everything coming out is from overseas. Very troubling, that. 😦

And, then of course, people over here argue it can’t be valid because they didn’t read it in the NY Times, etc.
