Prayer Requests 10-11-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 14

¹The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.

There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

  1. Please pray for us as we slowly conclude with ministry in our current church plant and transition to a new position as Field Leader of our team here in the Czech Republic. This will mean a change of location, so please pray that our house will sell, as that is key to the timing of everything else. Thanks!

  2. My sister is flying in today, but we have a 2 hour drive to pick her up – the roads are quite bad with ice and snow is falling. Please pray for a safe drive for us and flight for her.

  3. My second cataract surgery is tomorrow.

I had a bit of a panic (well, not quite panic, but I was very upset) earlier today when I got a call saying the surgery had to be postponed for a couple weeks due to a problem at the eye care center.

My eyes have been really bad for at least two years. Back in April, when I had the check up at my eye doctor, I thought I was finally going to get new glasses & be able to read better & see the TV better, & just see better in general. Then I learned I would need these cataracts removed (so, no new glasses yet). It has been five months since then. I’ve had the first one removed, which is great, but now I have trouble telling if I see better with or without my glasses at various times, & tend to get a little headachy from my eyes not working the same (the eye with the new lens sees distance better, but the other eye is still nearsighted.)

Anyway, that’s why I was so very upset at the postponement. After I realized I needed to call back to reschedule the new date she gave me (for a Wednesday, not a Monday), she told me she would get back to me, as they were trying to see if the surgery could be switched to a hospital in a nearby town. After an anxious almost-two hour wait (& just as I started typing out a prayer request here about it), they called back to say my surgery is still set for tomorrow, at the hospital. Greatly relieved, & grateful!
