  1. You mean soccer? Hank Hill taught Bobby that soccer was invented by French women so they would have something to do while their husbands cooked supper.

  3. rw: Now you’re hittin’ me where it hurts… I played soccer during all my years growing up in San Antonio – it’s great for building coordination to play all kinds of sports (and I played ’em all, or at least anything in which a ball was involved).

P.S. What is Westbrook doing hanging out with a soccer player? 🙂

  4. Tychicus, I never played the sport, but I coached some soccer players in other sports. I have nothing but respect for the conditioning and athleticism of soccer players. That being said, are you sure the guy with Westbrook isn’t a bullfighter? It is Spain.

  5. Took a quick look at the ‘tweet storm’ — partly agree with him, but not completely I suppose.

Trump’s most recent bad behavior has pushed me over the edge for now, more into the Erickson camp, but I don’t think Christians can only vote for the purest of pure candidates to keep a good conscience.

Trump is clearly an extreme example of someone who appears to be not of leadership material. But I’ve voted for plenty of candidates I’m not crazy about without any conflict of conscience.

It is what it is. Voting is voting. Our choices are never ideal. It’s always, to one degree or another, voting for a “lesser” of two evils.

Some say “But that’s still voting for evil.”

I tend to think “yes, but ‘lesser’ is a lesser evil.”

And that’s sadly sometimes the best we can get in a fallen world.
