Today is the last day of term 1. Please pray for safety as our high school students are heading off for their annual retreat and it is not a good day to be on the road.
Also, Monday and Tuesday are parent teacher conferences at the Primary School. Please pray for wisdom and good communication with the parents as we work together.
I asked for prayer yesterday for Patricia’s family following her death, noting the situation was messy. My daughter-in-law called last night to fill me in. I will not give you the details. Suffice it to say this is the most macabre and ghoulish experience for someone whom I’ve met that I have ever heard. Extremely distressing.
So, please pray for J, Patricia’s cousin, a retired college prof who seems to be the only rational person in the midst of a horror, witnessing things no one should ever have to experience about a person they cared for. The only Christian in the mix, pray she would be shielded from further horror, give her the right words and wisdom to know how to deal with the others making decisions.
The widower is blind, confused, overwhelmed, grief-stricken and making decisions that have to be honored, but are beyond rational belief. The 91 year-old mother collapsed when given the news and also is not handling things well.
